Subway SFAI Inter League action at 13’s and 15’s:
The Kerry 13’s had a good day in front of goal at Mounthawk Park as they defeated WWEC (West Waterford East Cork) in both the Subway SFAI Inter League game and in the Development game. Goals from Ruairi O’Connell and Darragh Lynch both scored two each with Ronan Carroll, Aaron Harty and Neal O’Shea getting the other goals.
In the Development game goals from Leigh Meehan, Shayne Stack, SamSlattery,LiamHennigan, Brian O’Shea, Luke Doolan and Aaron Doyle gave Kerry the win keeping a second clean sheet. The 14’s are beginning the road that will lead to the Kennedy Cup in June and they won a friendly game against Limerick District in Listowel. The 15’s went down away to Cork having had lots of possession but just lacking that cutting edge.
Younger ages in action:
There were great games all across the county featuring our youngest stars. In the boys there were 20 u10 teams and 2 u11’s involved while in the girls it was all the u11’s that were in action.
MEK Galaxy top in 12 Premier:
In the JK Sports 12 Premier leaders MEK Galaxy continue to lead the division thanks to a 6-0 win at home to Tralee Dynamos. The game was tight at the break with the winners leading 2-0 thanks to Kevin McCarthy who got both goals. He added three more and Fergal Murphy one to wrap up thrir 4th win in 5 games.
Killarney Athletic has made it three wins from three with a 4-0 home win at home to the Park. The Woodlawn side had goals from Mark O’Carroll and Szymon Jasinski with two own goals added to these goals.
Killarney Celtic were 3-1 at half time thanks to goals from Pa O’Brien, an own goal and Shay McCormack with Giovanni McCarthy replying for Killorglin. JJ O’Donoghue added a 4th to Celtic’s total in the second half.
Inter up to second in 12 Division 1
Goals from Robbie Guest and Michael O’Mahony gave Inter Kenmare a 2-1 win at home to Park C and it moves them up to 2nd behind the side they defeated. Dean Courtney replied for the Tralee side.
Park go top of a tight 12 Division 2 North
4 wins from 4 games see The Park move to the top of the 12 Division1 North. Goals from Brian Feely, Shaujb Alisi and Michael O’Brien saw them defeat neighbours Tralee Dynamos B.
Ballyheigue had an impressive away win at Fenit with Aodhan Horgan Xavier Wiensierski 2, Brandon Leen, Adam Lee and Mathew O’Sullivan all scoring.
Dingle unbeaten in 4 to head 12 Division2 South:
Goals from Jack Diver 3, Padraig Manning, Tamin and Cillian MacNamara gave Dingle Bay Rovers a 4th away win in the Division defeating Inter Kenmare to move onto 12 points.
A cracking Killian Fitzgerald free kickand a second from Conor Cottz saw MEK Galaxy B draw 2-2 away at Killarney Celtic B.
Killarney Athletic B brought the three points home from their trip to Killorglin B. The Athletic goals came from Alex Doolan 2, Cillian Collins, Darragh O’Donoghue, Liam Harmon, David Courtney, Gregory Pawlak and Finn O’Donnell.
Camp Juniors win away in 13 Division 2
Camp Juniors won away at Listowel Celtic in the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Division 2. Mikey O’Leary hit 4 for Camp Juniors and these were added to by 2 from Darragh Murphy and one from Mark Vansteankiste.
Park and Castleisland win in 14 Premier
The Park took the points at Killarney Celtic with goals from Finn O’Neill, William Japoki, Sean Corkery and Andrew Kerins while for Celtic Padraig O’Donoghue had an excellent game.
Goals from Eoghan Shire and Jack Joy gave Castleisland the points in their 2-1 win over Killorglin as Georgie O’Callaghan Park.
Home wins in the 14’s Division 1
There were home wins in the Slattery’s Carpets 14’s Division 1. Mastergeeha had goals from Emmet Spillane 2, Bobby Gallivan, Aaron Buckley, Cian O’Connor and Kieran Nagle in their home win over Killarney Celtic B.
Killarney Athletic defeated Dingle Bay Rovers in Woodlawn with Brian O’Shea and Rohan Saha on the mark for the Blues.
Killorglin C win away in 14’s Division 2
The 14’s Slattery’s Carpets Division 2 game between the Park B and Killorglin C in Christy Leahy Park was a tight affair up to the break with the sides tied at 3-3. However in the second half Killoglin C scored twice without reply to take the win. Zygintas Pipinas hit 3 for Killorglin with Kube Ciesle getting the other two. Marwan Elasaar, Arek Jaszczyndki and Jakob Mikolagzuk were the scorers for the Park.
Killorglin and Park takes the points in the 16 Premier:
In the Tralee Trophy World 16 Premier Killorglin were 2-1 home winners over Killarney Athletic whose goals from Mathew Hunt.
The Park had goals from Cianan Cooney, Sean O’Connor, Sean Healy, Sean O’Connell and Colin Doody in their win over Killarney Celtic.
Top two win in 16 Division 1 North
Tralee Dynamos continue to lead in the Tralee Trophy World 16 Division 1 North. They had Nathan Rogers, Jamie O’Shea, Eric McMahon and Lee Buckley on the mark in a 4-0win away at Ballyheigue.
Listowel Celtic did the damage in the first half in their away win at Fenit. Darragh Carey 2, Adam Segal, Jack Moloney and Sean Cooke scored for Celtic with Eddie McCarthy pulling 2 back for Fenit. The only goal of the second half came from Robbie Foley for Listowel Celtic.
Mastergeeha go 4 from 4 in 16 Division 1 South
Matergeeha continued their unbeaten start to the Tralee Trophy World 16 Division 1 South and are now on 4 wins from 4 played. On the mark for the Kilbrean side were Dara O’Shea, Jack Higgins, Colin O’Leary, Dara O’Callaghan 2 and Mark O’Shea.
2 goals from Charlie Keating were enough to give Ballyhar Dynamos a 2-1 home win at Murt Scott Park. Fionn Griffin replied for MEK Galaxy.
Away wins for Killarney Celtic and Inter Kenmare:
Killarney Celtic had Elizabeth Coffey in great form as she led the scoring in their away win at Fenit. Aideen O’Brien got the other Fenit goal. Inter Kenmare had goals from Tara Desmond 2, Helena O’Donoghue and Grace Foley in their win away in Dingle. Ella Sheehy replied for the West Kerry side.
Girls Roll Of Honour: Again this week we had lots of good performance in the girls games with the following making this week’s Roll of Honour: Elizabeth Coffey and Andrea Murphy from Killarney Celtic, Clara O’Dowd and Lilly Nowak of Fenit, Ella Sheehy and Beth Bambury of Dingle Bay Rovers and Chloe Cremin and Lucy Burton from Inter Kenmare.
