National Cup 9 look forward to 2015:

Nine Kerry Schoolboys Girls League teams are eagerly looking forward to 2015 when their National Cup journey continues.

In the Boy’s National 5 of the 8 teams have home draws while the other 3 will be on the road. In the 12’s Killorglin will be at home to River Valley Rangers. Our two teams in the 13’s are both away in Cork. Killarney Celtic go the Ringmahon Rangers with St Brendan’s Park heading to Midelton.

Both teams in the 14’s are at home with Killorglin welcoming Rock Celtic and Killarney Celtic taking on Cherry Orchard (P) at Celtic Park. Killarney Athletic will be at home to Bonagee United in the 15’s competition.

There are two local sides in the 16’s with Killarney Celtic at home to Mungret Regional but Tralee Dynamos will be on the road as they go to take on Knocklyon United.

The last weekend in January is set for the next round of the National Cup.

The other team through is the Killarney Celtic 16 Girls and they await the draw for their quarter –finals.

The Young Stars: The latest in a series of Blitz’s took place at the IT Tralee, hosted by Tralee Dynamos. They welcomed The Park, Ballyhar and Listowel Celtic for a fun day’s football.

There was action in the 4 Groups of the Moriarty’s Centra 11’s. In a very tight series of games The Park and Dynamos drew in Group 1 with Killorglin defeating Killarney Celtic A. The result was reversed in Group B where Park B and C drew. Killarney Athletic just won the derby against Celtuic in the only game in Group 3. Group 4 saw narrow wins for Castleisland and Camp over Ballyhar and Fenit.

Killarney Athletic 5-6 Inter Kenmare A:

Inter Kenmare A will be delighted to get back to winning ways after their defeat to club-mates Inter B. Emma Foley hit a hat trick with Chloe Cremin netting 2 and Mary Ellen McCarthy getting the 6th.

Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier:

Tralee Dynamos continue to lead the Division despite dropping their first points of the season. They were held to a 3-3 draw in a cracker with Killarney Celtic in Tralee. Sean Kennedy got 2 and Adam Joy the third for the home side. Ruairi Doyle, Cian Dineen and Padraig Looney were on the mark for Celtic.

Second placed Listowel Celtic were defeated at home by The Park, who move above the North Kerry side. Mervin Shambala, Sean McGrath and Colin Walsh all scored hat-tricks for the Park. Andrew Murphy and Michael Fogarty were on the mark for the Listowel Celtic.

Ballyhar were too strong for Camp at Murt Scott Park. Conor Henderson, Gearoid Coffey, Adam Jensen, Josh McCarthy plus Dylan and Nathan Callaghan were all on the score-sheet.

Division 1:

Killarney Celtic B have slipped to second spot after their 3-3 draw away to The Park B. It could have been worse for Celtic are they were 3-0 down at half time. Nick Izahi, Robert Kierns and Elliot Lynch put the Tralee side in command. But Celtic staged a great comeback to level matters with goals from Christian Casey and 2 from Godwin Miguel.

Killarney Athletic have moved 2 points ahead of their neighbours following their 6-1 win at home to Mastergeeha. Owen Benson got three with Rossa Bellew, Jack Cooper and Dara Kelly scoring one each. Shane Warren got the consolation for Mastergeeha.

Killorglin were as expected too strong for Killarney Celtic C. Gar Hassett was again the scorer-in-chief scoring a rare double hat trick. Jack O’Leary got 2 and Darragh Moriarty the other.

Division 2:

Ballyheigue won the battle of the new comers as they travelled west and defeated Dingle Bay 2-0 to move level with them at the top of the table. Jordan Goggin and Sean Sheahan were the scorers.

St Bernards made it a three way tie at the top, and they have a game in hand, as they won 4-2 away to Listowel Celtic. Mickey Clifford’s hat trick and one from Michael O’Sullivan gave the Saints the three points with Listowel Celtic’s goals coming from Ronnie Downey and Cillian Rodrigues.

Camp B kept on the heels of the leaders and are only a point behind. Goals from Maurice O’Connell, Cian Cronin, Conor O’Leary, Aodhan O’Connor, Oisin Smailes and Cian Wright saw them defeat Park C.

Killarney Plaza 15 Premier:

With leaders Park A not in action teams were looking to close the gap on them. In a reversed fixture Camp Juniors travelled to Mastergeeha and came away with a 2-1 win. Seamus Boyle put Camp ahead but Dylan Murphy equalised. It looked like ending all square until Camp Junior’s Killian Falvey popped up with the winner with seven minutes to go.

The other game in the division ended on the same score-line. In this case Listowel Celtic travelled to their Killarney namesakes and also won 2-1. Michael Devlin got the goal for the home side but goals from Cillian Spillane and Devon McKenna gave Listowel Celtic the vpoints.

Division 1:

Park B and Killarney Celtic B were both beaten as this Division tightened up. Despite a John Ward hat trick, including 2 penalties, Park B were defeated 4-3 by Castleisland. Goals from Liam Butler and Mark O’Connor saw Killorglin defeated Killarney Celtic B 2-0. Inter Kenmare were too strong for Killarney Celtic C. Dylan O’Connor hit an unbelievable 7 goals. Dara O’Connor and Tadgh O’Siochru both scored one each. Killarney Athletic were 2-0 winners over Iveragh United.
