All ready for the Cup Semi Final Draws:
The Kerry Cup semi-final draws will take place live on Radio Kerry this Sunday at 4.15pm and almost all the positions have now been filled bar the 13’s.
The last 4 in the John Murphy 12’s Cup Killarney Celtic A, Ballyhar, Park A, Castleisland.
Three of the U13 quarter finals were played this week. As expected Listowel Celtic A were too strong for Killarney Celtic B and booked their place in the last 8 thanks to goals from Brendan O’Neill 3, Darragh Mackessy 2, Devon McKenna, Jack Kennelly and James Donegan.
The reverse clash of Killarney Celtic A and Listowel Celtic B went way of the Killarney Celtic side on a 4-2 score-line. Emmet O’Shea, Michael Lenihan, Niall McGillicuddy and Ryan Kelliher scored for Killarney with Sean McGrath and Mike Nolan getting the goals for Listowel Celtic.
Camp and Mastergeeha was a cracker with the sides drawing 4 all after normal and extra time. Dylan Murphy 2, Niall O’Connor and William Brosnan scored for Mastergeeha while Colm Moriarty and Christopher Kane who both got two. It went all the way to penalties and Masteergeeha were unerring and netted all five to reach the last 4.
The Tom Hayse 14’s Cup had 3 places left in the semi-finals as Inter Kenmare had already qualified. Joining them will be Killarney Celtic A who defeated The Park B 5-3. Peter O’Sullivan and Ryan Kelliher both scored twice with Lee Downing netting the other. Sean O’Driscoll, Seb Vassu and Mark O’Regan got the goals for an unlucky Park B side.
Listowel Celtic A travelled to Killorglin and came back with a 5-2 win. Cathal Crosby and Mark O’Connor hit the goals for Killorglin but goals from Jake Kelly, Fergal Wall, Sean Keane, Jack Sheehan and Mike Kennelly saw Listowel Celtic through.
The Tralee derby saw The Park A taking their place in the semi-finals thanks to a 2-1 win. Thomas Burke and Rory McCarthy, with a 40 year cracker, got the Park’s goals with Dillon Robinson replying for Kingdom Boys.
In the 15’s Cup Killorglin defeated Camp 4-2 to go through to the last 4. Patrick Carey got 2 with Dylan O’Sullivan and Gary Mathews getting one each to put Killorglin into the hat. Cian Smiles and Joe Saunders replied for Camp.
Listowel Celtic A were 5-2 winners over Mastergeeha. Conor Kennelly top scored with a hat trick and Sheldon Neill and Danny Power were the other scorers. James Nagle and Patrick Warren replied for the Kilbrean side.
Killarney Celtic won the derby quarter final over Athletic. Michael Potts got 2 and Oran O’Donoghue got the Hoops goals to see them into the hat. Athletic’s Nelu Doherty was outstanding in keeping the score tight.
The Tucker Kelly semi-finals has Inter Kenmare, Park and Killarney Celtic already through. Inter and Castleisland was a cracker going all the way to the last penalty. Daniel Taylor, Darragh Siochru, Denis Cronin and Tom O’Sullivan scored in normal time for Inter while John McMahon hit 3 and Kieran Daly got the other for Castleisland. The same four Inter players scored in the shootout and John Crowley was the other player as they made it 5 from 5.
The Park beat Mastergeeha 3-2 and Killarney Celtic defeated Killarney Athletic 5-0 in earlier quarter finals. Listowel Celtic and Fenit will face off for the last spot.
League Round:
JK Sports 12’s Premier:
Kingdom Boys are the Champions and they wrapped of the title with a 2-1 against The Park. John Casmody’s 2 goals was enough to do this.
12’s Division 1:
Killarney Celtic were too strong for Park C 13’s winning 6-0.
13 Division 1:
There was lots of action in the 13’s with action both during the and at the weekend. Killarney Athletic were 5-2 winners at home to Ballyhar and they won 5-2. Eoin Talbott, Harry Potts, Oran O’Donoghue scored for Athletic while Patrick O’Connor and Kevin Daniel got Ballyhar’s goals. Athletic are now level at the top of the table with Inter but have games in hand.
13 Division 2:
Here is where most of action took place with Kingdom Boys B defeating Asdee 5-1. Daniel Bowler, Nathan Holden, Mark Sheehan and scored for the winner while Conor Twomey got the Ballyhar goal.
Park B were 5-2 at home to Killarney Athletic. Mark Dziedziuch scored a hat trick and these were added to by goals from Tennyson Esgbere and Junior Ankhoma.
Listowel Celtic C hit 9 against Kingdom Boys B to keep up the race for second place. Sean Mcgrath got 3 as did Michael Nolan with Tadgh O’Carroll, Ronan O’Neill and Kevin Goulding all scoring one each.
There was only one goal between Killorglin B and Camp with the visitors winning 4-3. Chris Kane got 2 and both Killian Falvey and Conor O’Brien hitting one each for the visitors.
Killorglin B were 5-1 winners over Killarney Celtic C in the Bank Holiday Monday game.
Foundation Sports 14 Premier:
Listowel Celtic defeated Castleisland 3-2 in the 14 Premier to move the winners within 3 points of second placed Kingdom Boys. Scott Winter, Cillian Spillane and Darragh O’Donoghue were the scorers for the Hoops with Ciaran O’Donoghue and Sean Horan replying for Castleisland.
Killarney Plaza 15 Premier;
The Park took the points from Listowel Celtic on a 2-0 score-line.
