Round 4 places up for grabs in the SFAI National Cups:
4 Teams through in the 12’s
It was an evens weekend in the SFAI National Cups with a place in Round 4 the prize for the winners. In the 12’s Mastergeeha are through from one of the two all Kerry clashes. They defeated Castleisland whose goal came from Adam Griffin. The Mastergeeha goals came from Alan O’Leary 3, Conor Lynch 2, Dean Moynihan and Darragh Keane.
Tralee Dynamos and Killorglin needed penalties to see who progress as their game ended 3-3 after extra time. Danny Lane got all three goals for Dynamos. Kieran Patton got two and Tommy Foley one for Killorglin. Their keeper made a vital save in the penalties and with Darragh McKenna, Cian Fitzpatrick and Peter O’Shea all successful it is Killorglin who progress to the next round.
Killarney Athletic are also into Round 2 thanks to goals from Jayden Hurley, Enna Hennigan, Cian Hegarty and Callum Cox they saw off Broadford United 4-1 in Woodlawn.
Killarney Celtic made the trip to Shannon Town a winning one thanks to goals from Pa McCarthy 3, Daniel O’Sullivan, Stephen Shine, Kiernan Kelly, Tristan Murphy and Marco Mosca.
Dynamos join Killorglin in 14’s Round 3
Killorglin were already through to Round 4 and they are joined by Tralee Dynamos who won away at Aisling Annacotty B. Christy Burke and Nick Lacey scored two each and Alex Touhy one in the win.

Killorglin through in 16’s National Cup
Killorglin proved to be too strong for Granagh United and are into the 4th round.
Unfortunately Killarney Celtic are out as having drawn 0-0 with Caherdavin after extra time the visitors to Celtic Park took the win 3-2 on penalties. As are Castleisland who went down 3-0 away to Pike Rover. Mastergeeha’s run is also over as they went out to Newcastlewest. Emmett Spillane got the Mastergeeha goal.
Listowel Celtic Girls progress in 14’s National Cup:
Listowel Celtic made they tricky trip to Limerick a winning one as they defeated Regional United to progress to the next of the Girls National Cup. Laura Falvey 2 and Laura Meehan got the Listowel Celtic goals.
3 goals for 3 teams in Girls 12 Division 1
Mary Anne Bradley, Grace Barry and Megan Quigg scored for MEK Galaxy White as they defeated Mastergeeha 3-0. In the game between Fenit Samphires B and Listowel Celtic both sides scored 3 goals. Sadhbh Dowling got all the goals for Fenit with Izzy Larkin 2 and Laura Dalton on the mark for Listowel Celtic B. Castleisland were 5-3 winners at home to Iveragh United thanks to two goals from Jessica O’Sullivan and Brid McCarthy and one from Ciara O’Donoghue.
One goal in 14’s Girls Premier mid-week game:
Under the lights at Celtic Park the home side took on Inter Kenmare in a game that was hotly and evenly contested. The only goal of the game went to Killarney Celtic with Amelia Carroll Kelly getting the winner.
Home win in 14’s Division 1:
2 goals from Chloe Walsh and one each from Ellie Cregan, Marie Keane Tyrell, Ruby Browne and Erica McSherry gave LB Rovers the win over Iveragh United. Vilte Paulauskaite 2 and Keelin O’Shea replied for Iveragh United.
In the Sunday game goals from Castleisland’s Sarah Louise McGee 2, Sarah Loughlin, Michelle O’Connor and Caoimhe O’Mahoney gave them the win over Killarney Athletic who goal came from Aibhainn Vaughan.
Away win for Park in 12’s Premier
Two goals from Calvin O’Sullivan and one from Mark O’Riordan and a great performance from keeper Darragh O’Connor saw St Brendan’s Park win 3-1 away at Listowel Celtic who had Tadgh Dalton on the score sheet.
MEK win first 12’s boys game of the week:
The action in the boy’s game began at Celtic Park when Killarney Celtic B and MEK Galaxy met in the u12’s Division 1 South Division 2 clash. And it was the visitors who took the win thanks to goals from James Murphy in the 38th minute and Eoin Casey in the 38th minute.
On Saturday Ballyhar Dynamos won at Kilbrean Park defeating Mastergeeha thanks to a Ryan Quilter hat trick and one from Jack Kelly.
Killarney Athletic had two goals from Aodhagan O’Suilleabhan, one from Daniel Fennelly and benefited from an own goal in their win over Killorglin in Woodlawn. Cathal and Cormac Clifford replied for the visitors.
4 up for the winners in 12’s Division 1 North
2 goals from Eoin Mangan and one each from Jack Griffin and Darragh Lyne saw Camp Juniors defeat LB Rovers by the odd goal in seven. Richie Kissane, Ben Lynch and Maurice Whelan got the LB goals.
Cillian O’Brien 2, Cody Deedy and Tadgh Diggin gave Fenit Samphires an away win at Listowel Celtic B who keeper Lucas Leahy made some huge saves under pressure.
Ballyheigue also hit 4 in their win at home to the Park B with Patrick Leen scoring for the Tralee side. Ben O’Connor hit three and Shay Barrett one in the 4-1 win.
2 away and one home win in 12’s Division 2
MEK Galaxy White made the trip to Camp Juniors a winning one thanks to goals from Gerry Moroney 2, Rian Weldon, Thomas Lynch, Luke Rennie and Shea Driver.
Also winning on the road were Inter Kenmare B who just got the better of Mastergeeha C. Rian O’Connor, Michael Sheehan and Fergus McCarthywere on the mark for the winners with Callum O’Leary and Sam Guinneau scoring for the home side.
Ballyhar Dynamos were the home winners against Castleisland thanks to goals from Alex Finn 2, Adam Fleming, Cillian O’Sullivan and Brandon Wynne.
Listowel Celtic win in 13 Premier
There was one game in the 13’s Premier with Listowel Celtic taking the win over Killarney Athletic.
3 games in the 14’s Premier:
There were 3 games in the World of Tiles 14 Premier with Killorglin winning by the odd goal in five at home to Listowel Celtic. Gio McCarthy scored twice and Ciaran Birmingham once in Killorglin’s win.
Jayden Fennell and Cillian O’Donoghue both scored twice including a late penalty in a 4-1 home win over St Brendan’s Park. Mike Quirke scored for the Park.
Mark O’Carroll put Killarney Athletic 1-0 up in the first half and they added goals from Carroll, Cillian Coffey and Liam O’Brien in the second half to take a 4-2 win over Inter Kenmare. Caoilainn Desmond scored from 20 yards out and Rossa McGearailt set up Michael Jones for their second.
Home wins in 14’s Division 1
A Robert Keane hat trick and a goal from Jago Brodie gave Camp Juniors a 4-2 win at home to Killarney Celtic. Mark Looney and Killian Slattery got the Celtic goals.
Jakub Dunworth put LB Rovers 1-0 up away to St Brendan’s Park but Dean Courtney equalised and Johnny Neilings got the win for the Tralee side who had a big game from goalkeeper Sean McConnell.
Castleisland had goals from Darragh Cahill 3, Kyle Buckley 2 and one each from Eoghan Joy, Jack Foley and Josh Ryan in their home win over Killarney Athletic B.
Goals Galore in 14’s Division 2
Goals from Mateusz Placyla, Xavier Wensierski, Brian Feely 3 and Kundai Maumeanda saw St Brendan’s Park C win at home to Ballyheigue who goals came from Nickie Corridan and 2 from Joe Lovett.
Sean Horan, Cody McMahon, William McCarthy, Sean O’Connor, Seamus Phelan, Jermiah Flynn and Adam Ginneau all scored in Castleislands win away at Tralee Dynamos.
Mastergeeha were 6-1 winners at home to Inter Kenmare. Daniel Cotter put the home side 1-0 up and Ruairi O’Donoghue doubled their lead early in the second half. Craig Brosnan came off the bench and hit a hat trick with Milosz Neazgoda wrapping up the win. Colm Cronin was on the mark for Inter.
One game in the 15’s Division 1
Two goals from Charlie Nolan and one each from Jack Nolan, Aaron Harty, Jayden Harty gave Fenit Samphires an away win at Killorglin. The home sides goals came from Riogan O’Sullivan, Cian Hynes and Daniel O’Keeffe.
Home and away win and a draw in 16’s Premier:
Andrew Kerins, Sean Corkery and Bruno Borowsky scored for St Brendan’s Park in their home win over neighbours Dynamos.
Inter Kenmare scored two goals inside the last 5 minutes to snatch a 2-2 away draw at Listowel Celtic. They were 2-0 down as the game entered the final minute but Neal O’Shea pulled one back late on from the penalty spot. And in the fourth minute of extra time Ollie O’Shea earned his side a point.
Killarney Athletic had goals from Oisin O’Sullivan, Bryn Flaherty, Tom Benson and Luke Doolan in their win over Dingle Bay Rovers whose goal came from James Hoare.
6 is the magic number in 16’s Division 1:
Goals from Darragh Lynch 2, Jesse O’Reilly, Darragh Clifford, Cian O’Brien and Tadgh Gosney saw Killorglin B win at Park B.
2 goals each from Matt Pierce and Stuart Daly and one each from Keelan Best and Harry Glennon saw Ballyheigue defeat Ballyhar Dynamos.
Killorglin had goals from Kuba Ciesla and Patryk Radney but they went enough to earn them anything from the game as they lost out 3-2 to Iveragh United.
Kerry 13’s continue build-up to Inter Leagues:
The Kerry 13’s should know in the coming weeks the format and their opponents in the SFAI Inter League that’s due to begin early in the New Year. They continued their build-up with two wins over Limerick Desmond 13’s. A hat trick from Daniel Farmer and one each from Luca Mosca and Dara Harty saw Kerry win the first game 5-0. In the second game Johnny Neilings, Edison Jahiri, Sean Clifford and Mickey Corridan were on the mark in a 6-2 win.
Big Weekend on the Inter League front:
Next weekend is a big one for the Kerry Schoolboys Girls League on the SFAI Inter League front. In the SFAI Gaynor the 15’s Girls are in Bowl semi-final where they play Limerick Desmond at 2pm on Saturday at Mick Hanley Park, Clounreask. The 13’s Girls Gaynor Plate quarter final sees Kerry travel to Louth.
The Kennedy Cup Bowl semi-final is also on Saturday with Kerry away to Galway SL in Eamonn Deasy Park also kicking off at 2pm.
