In the Moriarty’s Centra 11’s there were wins for Killorglin A over Killarney Athletic in Group 1, Killorglin B defeated Park B in Group 2 while in Group 3 it was Camp who got the better of Asdee.
JK Sports 12 Division 2:
There was one mid- week game played in this Division and it saw leaders St Bernard’s add another three points to their total to continue to lead the way. Goals from Mikey Clifford, Oisin Maunsell and Sean Murphy ensured St Beranrd’s took all three points from neighbours Asdee.
12 Girls Premier:
The two Killarney Celtic sides clashed on Friday night and as expected the A’s won but not without a fight from the B’s. Goals from Mairead Bennett, Ann Clifford, Kate McCarthy and Mairead Kelly were the difference.
Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier:
The big result of the weekend was the win by Listowel Celtic over Kingdom Boys in this Division. It certainly wasn’t a surprise as there was only a point between them at the top of the table at the start of play. However two goals from Cillian Spillane means that Listowel Celtic now top the by 2 points and have a game in hand over the Tralee saide.
The Park are a few points behind but kept up their pursuit of the top two with a 4-1 win over Killarney Celtic A. Mike Slattery hit 2 with Adam Ward and Padraig McCannon getting one each.
Daly’s Supervalu 13 Division 1:
Park B and Camp played out a 1 all draw on Wednesday night with Shane McCarthy getting the goal for Park B. The Park B were in action again on Saturday but couldn’t repeat the mid- week result and went down to unbeaten Castleisland. Mark Ryan, Merlinda Xhemali and Shane McCarthy did get goals for The Park but it wasn’t enough. Ben Cooney with 4 and Adam O’Donoghue led the scoring with Shay Walsh also getting in on the scoring act.
Mastergeeha remain in second place as they were also winners. They got the better of Killarney Celtic C in a high scoring encounter. Niall O’Connor, Paul O’Shea and Cormac O’Connor all hit two with Conor O’Leary, Daniel Dennehy and Dylan Murphy netting one each for Mastergeeha while the Celtic goals came from Conor Staunton 2 and Alex Grestiak.
O’Callaghan’s Coaches 14 Girls Premier:
Killarney Celtic A proved too strong for Killarney Athletic in the one midweek girls game.
14 Division 2:
Asdee proved too strong for a weakened Killarney Athletic B side and with Calum McSweeney hitting a hat trick, added to by 2 from Ben Sweeney and one each from Dan Hegarty and Stephen Lynch the points were never in doubt. Finbarr Hickey replied for Athletic.
Killarney Plaza 15 Premier:
With Killarney Celtic in National Cup action second placed The Park took full advantage to close the gap on the leaders to 6 points and with a game in hand. Danny Brosnan topped the scoring charts with a hat trick, Fergal Ryan got 2 and Ferdie O’Brien and Kieran Carmody one each.
In the 15’s Division 1 leaders Fenit dropped their first points in 5 League games as they went down to Inter Kenmare. Goals from Thomas Lenihan and Chris Murphy were not enough for the leaders to get anything out of the game.
Asdee closed the gap on the two teams above them with a 6-1 win at home to Killarney Athletic B. Cian O’Mahoney was the top scorer with 4 goals while Joseph Lynch and Cillian Courtney got one each.
Tralee Trophy World 16 Division 1:
Castleisland were too strong for an understrength Camp side and goals from David Downey, Josh Connolly, Ethan O’Connor and John McMahon saw them take all three points.
