- It is in F.A.I. rules that you have to do a child welfare course if you want to coach or be involved in a club involving children (paid or as a volunteer). Please see FAI Rule 72.5.
- Training is a National requirement when working with children and this is provided for inChildren First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children.

On-line booking for all introductory Coach Education courses in 2014
The FAI has introduced a new, easy to use, on-line booking system for all introductory coach education courses, including Kick Start 1 and 2, Goalkeeping intro, 4v4 and 7v7 workshops, Strength and Conditioning workshops and the Youth Cert Course.
All bookings and payments must be made on line at www.fai.ie/coached
There will be a facility for clubs to block book several places on a course, again with payment in advance.
No cash will be accepted on the night and no walk on’s will be accepted on these courses.
All courses now have a maximum of 24 places available, so don’t miss out-book early.
