To get as many games played in the final round of fixtures before the Christmas break, in the bad weather conditions is testament to the hard work done by the ground staff around the County.

JK Sports Premium:

In the JK Sports 12 Premier The Park are delighted that their pitch is as good as it is as they won the clash of the top two to move 5 points clear at the top of the table as Killarney Celtic suffered their first dropped points of the season. The Park have played two games more than Celtic and are on 17 points from 7 played after this 5-2 win over The Hoops who are now on 12 points from their 5 played. Lee Downing and Jack Hanrahan scored for the Killarney side but Mike Slattery, Gearoid Sheahan, Michael O’Gara, Josh Wadding and Donagh McMahon all scored for the Park to give them the bragging rights at the Christmas break.

In the other game goals from Dillon Robinson, Dan Goggin, Ben Falvey, Kevin Williams and Mike Kelliher gave Kingdom Boys the three points in their 5-0 win over Killarney Athletic.

Moving to Division One and with the top two sides, Killarney Celtic B and Killorglin, not in action it was up to others to close the gap. The Park B did just that with an 8-2 win over Killarney Celtic C. Robin McCarthy hit 2 with the following all getting one each – Seb Vassu, Jake Deering, Ozande Odochi, John Ward, Alphy Christy and Dean Scanlon. The Park close the gap on second placed Killorglin to two points.

Camp also added three points to their total with a 4-2 win over Camp thanks to 2 goals from Gearoid Foley and one each from Killian Falvey and Adam Boyle.

O’Callaghan Coaches 14’s Premium:

Killarney Celtic won the battle of the top two as they travelled to Tralee and brought home the points thanks to a 4-0 win over kingdom Boys. Dion Marcos scored twice with Gary Mathews and Peter McCarthy adding one each.

Mastergeeha took advantage of Kingdom Boys defeat to move ahead of them as they won 4-2 away to Listowel Celtic. Paul O’Connor got 2 with Oscar O’Connor and Thomas Fleming the other two.

Division 1 North:

One game went ahead in this Division with Camp moving to the top of the table, although they now have two more games played than the unbeaten Ballyhar whose game fell foul of the weather.

Thomas Butler, Mike Scanlon and Sean O’Hara scored for Camp to move them onto 10 points – one ahead of Ballyhar.

Division 1 South:

Killorglin are unbeaten in this Division having won their 4th game in a row with a 5-0 win over Inter Kenmare, who came into the game level with Killorglin but having more games played. The game was 0-0 at the half but Killorglin put themselves in the title picture with 5 second half goals from Joseph Glenwood, Aaron Foley 2, Mike Breen and Quailte Purcell.

Iveragh United are well in contention after they also remain unbeaten in their three games. They were 6-1 winners over Killarney Celtic B. Niall Brennan scored a hat trick, Darren Casey, Mark Quigley and Mike Daly all scored for Iveragh with Adam Drew getting the Celtic goal.

Trophy World Tralee 16’s Premier:

The Schoolboys League welcomes its latest sponsor Trophy World Tralee who have put their names to the 16’s Divisions and here The Park lead the way after another battle of the top two. They defeated Killorglin 7-2 to open a 6 point gap at the top.

Birthday Boy Adam O’Rourke had a day to remember hitting 4 which were added to by Adam Barrett, Sean Ryan and Cian Sheridan.

Asdee also finished the year on a high with a 5-1 win over Killarney Athletic thanks to goals from Joe Joe Grimes, Darren Murphy, Paudie O’Neill and Jack Gogarty.
