4 through to 12’s Round 3:

Four Kerry sides are still in the National Cup hunt and have progressed to Round 3 which has 20 teams left to chase those 5 qualifying spots after Round 4.

Killarney Celtic won at home to Dingle Bay Rovers and were 2-0 up at half time. Celtic pulled away in the second period and go through thanks to goals from Calvin O’Sullivan and Luke O’Neill who got 2 each with Dara O’Shea, Timothy Moynihan and Jack O’Sullivan getting one each.

Inter Kenmare were 7-2 winners at home to Kilmallock. Yago Cornide hit a hat trick for Inter, Darren Alman got 2 with the two goals coming from Sean Treyvaud and Darragh O’Connor. Inter keeper Eoghan McCarthy also did very well to keep the opposition out.

The Park A are also into the next round as they were too strong for Ennis Town B at Christy Leahy Park. Odhran Ferris, Jamie O’Shea, Cian O’Gara, Damien Hogan, Jamie Williams 2, Jack Slattery and Callum O’Sullivan were the Park’s scorers.

Killorglin defeated Birdhill 3-1. Stevie Gannon scored twice with Tony Og Duffy getting the other goal. Dara Crosby continued his good form in goal making two very good saves at crucial times.

Tralee Dynamos went out to Fairview Rangers at home while Listowel Celtic lost away to Corbally. The National Cup is also over for Killarney Athletic who lost in Charleville.

Kerry wins in 14’s Round 2 but not Round 3:

Killarney Celtic and Camp Juniors won the all Kerry battles against Listowel Celtic and Mastergeeha. Killarney Celtic were 1-0 down to Listowel Celtic but they rang the changes at half time and goals from subs Liam Shine and Ronan Coffey 2 saw them through.

Camp Juniors defeated Mastergeeha 2-1 after a great tussle that went to extra time. Mastergeeha led 1-0 at the break despite Camp Juniors probably having more possession. Caolan O’Connell eventually got his side level with a clever flick past the Mastergeeha keeper. Donal Crean got the all- important winner in extra time following a great run and shot.

Killorglin were already through to the next round.

The Park went out 3-1 away to Clogadh Rangers after having a player sent off 10 minutes into the second half in what was a questionable call by the referee. Earnan Ferris got the Park goal.

Inter Kenmare went out 3-0 to Aisling Annacotty away in Limerick.

3 go out in the 16’s:

Tralee Dynamos had already qualified for the next round before a ball was kicked but unfortunately none of the three sides in action came through today. The Park lost 3-1 to Mungret Regional with JR Tshikato getting the Tralee sides goal.

Mastergeeha were unlucky to go out 1-0 to Corbally United after extra time despite a great effort with Dylan Murphy leading from the front. The Kilbrean side will be disappointed they didn’t take the game to penalties at least.

Listowel Celtic lost 5-1 away to Charleville with Max Alveres scoring for the North Kerry hoops.

Listowel Celtic progress in the Girls Nat Cup:

With Girls soccer now split in 8 Regions the opening rounds of the National Cup took place at the weekend. Kerry are in the South West Region with Cork and West Cork. In the 14’s National Cup Round 2 Listowel Celtic defeated Inter Kenmare 5-3. Abbey Murphy hit a hat trick for Inter but it wasn’t enough. Not many teams will fancy meeting Listowel Celtic and here goals from Aoife Horgan 4 and Katie Keane saw them through to meet either Carragiline or Leeside FC for a place in the Last 16.

Mastergeeha Green claimed 3 points with big wins in the JK Sports 12 Premier 4.The Kilbrean side defeated Killarney Athletic and had hat tricks from Ryan McGurl and Jack Fogarty, 2 from Ewan Evans and one from David O’Riordan. Darragh Foley replied for Athletic.

In 12’s Division 1Camp Juniors defeated Killorglin B 9-3 to pick up three points in their first League game.

Ballyhar make it 3 from 3 in 14 Division 1:

In the Foundation Sports 14 Division 1 Ballyhar made it three wins from three games as they defeated Killarney Celtic B 7-3. Bryan Burke hit a hat trick while John Power got 2 with Peter Cosgrave and Aaron O’Shea getting one each.

Tralee Dynamos stay in 2nd place and are now on 7 points after a 4-2 home win over Fenit. Danny Burke, Sean Dillane and Philip Evans 2 were the Tralee sides scorers. Niall Cassidy and Eddie McCarthy replied for Fenit.

Killorglin B are onto 4 points after a 1-0 away win at Iveragh United while Killarney Athletic will be happy to have three points on the Board. They were also 1-0 winners away to Dingle Bay Rovers.

Camp Juniors drop points but stay top of 16 Division 1:

A Con O’Regan goal gave Camp Juniors a share of the points with Inter Kenmare. Camp Juniors stay top on 7 points after their 3 games. Listowel Celtic B and St Bernard’s also shared the points following a 0-0 draw. St Bernard’s are onto 4 points.

Killarney Athletic are also on 4 points after they defeated Ballyhar 4-0 at Murt Scott Park. Harry Potts hit a hat-trick with Caolan Ryan getting the other one.

Iveragh United opened their campaign with a 2-1 away win at Fenit. Sean Teahan scored from the penalty spot and Jack O’Shea got the other one in the win with Edward Stack getting the goal from Fenit.

This seasons Subway Inter Competitions are due to get underway in the next week. In the 15’s Kerry are away to North Tipperary in their first Group game. It will take place at Brickfields in Nenagh on Sunday 23rd of October at 2pm,

The 16’s will also be away in their first group game. They will play North Tipperary in Limerick under lights on either Tuesday or Thursday October 25th or 27th.
