The Kerry Schoolboys League is up and running in all Divisions and many of these teams will be looking forward to National Cup fixtures over the next two weeks.


JK Sports 12’s:

Park win opening Tralee derby in 12’s:

In the JK Sports 12 Premier it was The Park that made the short trip across to Dynamos where they picked up and opening game win. Double strikes from Colin Doody, Cianan Cooney and Dara O’Connor gave the Park the win. Liam Moroney replied with 2 for Dynamos.

In the 12’s Division 3 Killarney Celtic C defeated Fenit thanks to a hat trick from Brian O’Sullivan and one from Mike McCarthy.

Daly’s Supervalu 13’s:

Celtic win mid-week clash with Camp Juniors:

Killarney Celtic A and Camp Juniors played mid-week under lights at Celtic Park and it was the home side that took the win. Daniel Ockute hit two with Cian Doe, Cillian O’Sullivan and a cracking Cian McMahon free kick all on the score sheet to give Celtic the points. Oisin Smailes had put Camp Juniors 1-0 up early in the first half and Maurice O’Connell got their second in opening minutes of the second half.

Foundation Sports 14’s:

In the late game The Park made the trip to Woodlawn a winning one as they defeated Killarney Athletic in the Foundation Sports 14 Premier. Sean McGrath, Mervyn Shalemba, Colin Walsh, Liam Tobin and Leo Gaxha all scored for The Park. Eoin O’Sullivan and Robert O’Shea replied for Athletic.

Home wins in Division 1:

The home sides took the wins in the Foundation Sports 14’s Division 1 with Mastergeeha and Ballyhar picking up the three points. At Kilbrean Park goals from Darren Lehane 2 and one each from Javier and Ian O’Connor gave Mastergeeha the win.

At Murt Scott Park Ballyhar defeated Inter Kenmare with Gearoid Coffey, Dylan Callaghan, Jason Brennan and Joe McCarthy all scored once with Craig Boyle O’Sullivan getting two.

D’s beat B’s as Saint’s also win:

St Brendan’s Park have big numbers at this age group and have 4 teams. In a clash between the C and D teams it was the latter that had a big win. Goals from John O’Connor, Darragh Caplis, Leon Gallagher, Robert Vassiu, Cian Brosnan and Earnan Ferris saw their side defeat their club-mates.

St Bernard’s started their campaign with a big win at home to Killarney Celtic B. Gavin Slattery collected an early match ball hitting a hat trick, Oisin Maunsell scored twice and Darragh Slattery and Michael O’Sullivan got one each in the win.

Killarney Plaza 15’s:

Tightest game of the week in 15 Premier:

There was one game in the Killarney Plaza 15 Premier with Killarney Celtic winning away to Killorglin. The only goal came from a Peter O’Sullivan cross that was forced home after Ryan Kelliher put pressure on the Killorglin defence.

Tralee Trophy World 16’s:

Away wins in Premier:

In the Tralee Trophy World 16 Premier it was the away teams that took the points. Tralee Dynamos went to Inter Kenmare and brought home the points following a Dara Lowth hat trick and two from Dillon Robinson.

Killarney Celtic had goals from Conor Lucey, Pablo Martin, Alex Greziek and Lee Downing in their win over Castleisland.

Mastergeeha win in Division 1 goal-fest:

Mastergeeha and The Park B hit 10 goals between them in their Division 1 clash with the home side getting six of them. The Park were 2-1 ahead early on thanks to goals from Conor Higgin’s and Jack Rogers with Paul O’Shea opening the Mastergeeha scoring. The Kilbrean side then went on a goal scoring spree going 4-2 ahead. Conor O’Leary, Cian Fahey and O’Shea’s second gave them the lead. However the Park were not done as they levelled matters with goals from John and Aaron Ward. It was Mastergeeha who ended the stronger and O’Shea netted his third and Niall O’Connor wrapping up the win.

Killarney Athletic defeated Killarney Celtic B with goals from Jason Coffey, Finbarr Hickey and a Mark Fennell penalty. Jordan Lee replied for Celtic B.
