Skechers National Cup:

Home and away in 12’s National Cup:

Both the Kerry sides that had home ties progressed to the next round of the 12’s National Cup. Killorglin FC had goals from Tom Whittleton, from a Dara O’Grady corner, and Jack O’Sullivan who finished after an Adam Owens pass, in their 2-1 win over Lisnagarry.

Killarney Athletic progressed by the same margin in their home win over Granagh United. Conal Gallagher got both the goals for the Woodlawn side.

Listowel Celtic had to do it the hard way as they were away to Killavilla but 4 Aoife Horgan goals and 1 each from Adam Segal and Robert Stack saw them through.

Mastergeeha are out as they were beaten 3-0 by Mungret Regional in Limerick.

Athletics win the highlight of a good day at 14’s:

Limerick FC are doing a lot of great work in many aspects of the game and have a strong Schoolboy section. However they met a better side in Woodlawn as Killarney Athletic knocked them out 2-0. Eoin Moynihan and Damien Switzer were the goal scorers in the Killarney sides good win.

Killarney Celtic, The Park and Killarney Celtic all progressed after away wins. The Park had the easiest passage as they were much too strong for Aisling Annacotty B in Limerick. Sean McGrath topped the scoring charts hitting 4. Others on the score sheet were Nathan Gleeson, Mervyn Shalemba, Junior Anchoma, Daragh Moloney and Leo Gaxha,

Listowel Celtic defeated Geraldines in Limerick thanks to a Michael Nolan and one each from Conor Hogan and Ted Moloney.

Killarney Celtic joined the three other teams in the next round thanks to two goals from Cian Dineen and one each from Niall McGillicuddy, Daniel OcKute and a screamer from Padraig Looney.    

Abbeyfeale knocked out Dingle Bay Rovers while goals from Cian O’Grady and Caolan O’Connell were not enough to prevent Camp Juniors from going out at this age.

Things tight in the 16’s:

Tralee Dynamos are into the next round after beating Avenue United 3-0. Scott Winters got 2 and Dillon Robinson the 3rd in a 3-0 win.

Killarney Celtic needed an extra time goal from Michael Devlin to get past Mungret Regional. With the scores at 0-0 mid-way through the first period of extra time Devlin won it for the Hoops.

The Park were very unlucky to go out after a penalty shoot-out that saw them on the wrong side of an 8-7 score-line. Michael Slattery got the goal in normal time as it ended 1 all after extra time.

Killarney Athletic are also out going down 3-0 to Corbally United in Woodlawn while Mastergeeha were beaten away by Nenagh. Dylan Murphy got the Mastergeeha goal.

Away win in Premier:

In the JK Sports 12 Premier Killarney Celtic enjoyed a hard fought away win at Christy Leahy Park when a Sean Fitzgerald goal gave Celtic a 1-0 victory over The Park.

Tralee side win in Kenmare in Division 1:

The away side also won in Division 1when Park B made a successful trip to Kenmare and defeated Park B 7-2. Kieran O’Connor hit 3 with Sean O’Connor, Adam Murphy, Cian O’Shea and Nathan Rogers all getting one each. Darren Allman and Yago Cornide replied for Inter.

Clean sweep for home sides in Division 2:

Iveragh United were too strong for Killarney Athletic B down in Caherciveen. Goals from Fionan Keating 2, Breece O’Sullivan, Sean Kennedy, Cameron Andrews and Tm Clifford gave the South Kerry side the points.

Lisotwel Celtic B led 3-0 at home to Killorglin B. Chris McQuaid, Darragh Hudson and og put them in command. However the away side fought back with scores from Ryan Diggan and Charlie Foley but Celtic held on to win.

Camp Juniors Ryan Newstead had a day to remember hitting 4 goals in their win over Tralee Dynamos B. Paudie Fitzgerald, Tadgh Scanlon, Darragh Crean and CJ Daniels all got one each.

No look for the away sides in Division 3:

Dingle Bay Rovers won 4-1 at home to Fenit with Ciaran Bambury hitting a hat trick and Conor Corduff getting the other while Dylan Ryan replied for Fenit.

MEK are just beginning life in the League and it will take them a bit of time to get up to the level of sides that have a number of years behind them. However they are hitting the net which will please them. Eddie Moroney scored for the Mid Kerry side in their loss to Park C.

Foundation Sports 14’s:

Wins on the road in Division 1:

The Park B went to Kenmare and brought home the 3 points after a 5-2 win over Inter. Denis Nolan with 2, TJ McMahon, Eoin Higgins and Conor O’Sullivan were The Park scorers. Mark Looney and Ruairi Burns replied for the home side.

Ballyheigue put the hassles of the Council trying to close their pitch behind them as they recorded a good away win over Iveragh United. Tomas Gaynor scored twice and Jordan Goggin got the other.

Opposite in Division 2 as all home wins:

Listoiwel Celtic B defeated The Park C in a 7 goal thriller as they won 4-3. David Burns 2 and Ben O’Sullivan were the scorers for The Park.

The Park D continued their great start to the season. They were 8-2 winners over Killarney Celtic B at Christy Leahy Park. Jack McCarthy and Terry Sparling got the goals for the Hoops. Darragh Caplis got 4 for The Park D with Cian Brosnan, Leo Daly and Leon Gallagher getting the other.

Castleisland had goals from Connie O’Connor, Hugo Jurkovic, Patrick Roche, Tony Horgan and Adam Joy for the goals in their win over Fenit.

One game in Uneven League sees Saints win:

There was one rearranged game in the Uneven Age Leagues with St Bernard’s defeating Tralee Dynamos B 4-0. Aaron Malik got 3 and Jack Parker 1 in the win for the Saints.

Goals Galore in 16’s Division 1:

There was plenty of goals in the two games in the Tralee Trophy World 16’s Division 1. Dean Scanlon, Conor O’Brien with 2 and Aaron Ward got then Park goals.

2 goals each from Colm Moriarty and Cian Wall and 1 from Jack Farrell gave Camp Juniors a 5-1 win over Killarney Celtic B.
