Growth in the Girls game shown today:

Girls football is one of the fastest growing areas of the sport and this was in evidence today as over 90 girls were involved in KSBGL programmes.
Head of Football for the League Noel
White said that it was a busy but very pleasing day for the girls side of the League.
“The 13 Gaynor win in Cork was a great reward for the work these girls have put in and the dedication of their coaches. While the 15’d went down that are also continuing to improve.
There were also a number of programmes taking place in the county.
The 2009 born Gaynor squad trained in Firies with 27 players involved.
The League will be touch with the FAI /SFAI in the coming week to see their schedule of Inter League action for 2022.
The third venue for girls this weekend was Georgie O’Callaghan Park in Castleisland where an u16 Blitz was held with Ballingarry bringing 2 teams, Dingle Bay Rovers and Fenit joining the Kerry 16’s squad.
All sides played 4 games with Kerry winning times thanks to Ciara Henderson who hit four and Alex Twoney the other goal.
