Girls League gets underway with 12’s warm-up games:
The Kerry Schoolgirls League got underway with a 3 team warm up mini blitz in Celtic Park. Killarney Celtic defeated Mastergeeha before drawing with Inter Kenmare. Inter also defeated newcomers Mastergeeha who gave a good account of themselves.
Amongst those who did well for the Kilbrean club were Eva Culhane, Kate Dolan, Chantelle O’Rourke and Eibhin O’Sullivan.
In the Hoops the players catching the eye in the Mastergeeha game were Aine Devlin, Aileen O’Brien, Lucy O’Sullivan and Ruby Gaffney. The Inter – Killarney Celtic game was a cracker with Inter leading 2-1 before Celtic equalised late on through Aideen O’Brien. Aimee Coffey has got Celtic’s first. Ellen Leech and Sarah Cooper also did well.
Inter Kenmare’s Grace Foley and Maja Gartsecka scored in their game against Celtic while Ciara Harrington, Grace Foley, Chloe Cremin, Orla O’Brien were on the mark against Mastergeeha with Helena O’Donoghue the player of the game.

In the 12 Premier 1a Darren Allman goal, coming after assists from Senan Gul and Sean Treyvaud, gave Inter Kenmare the win over Mastergeeha. Iveragh United proved too strong for Dingle Bay Rovers winning their second game of their group. For Iveragh United Brian Quinlan, Ian O’Sullivan, Ben Egan, Oisin Breen, Conor O’Shea, Finn Barrett and Ben O’Donoghue got on the score-sheet.
Jamie O’Shea, Damien Horgan and Dara Cunnane all scored twice each in the Park A’s win over Killarney Celtic B in Premier 3. Naco Zulategui got the Celtic goal.
In Premier 4 Killarney Athletic White saw off Park B for whom Dylan Hobbart scored. For the Woodlawn side Alex Hennigan, Ciaran Clarke, Josh Coffey, Neal Carroll and Odhran Murphy were the scorers.
In the game of the two unbeaten sides Listowel Celtic got the better of Mastergeeha B at Kilbrean Park On the mark for Listowel Celtic were Cormac Dillon, Stefan Carrig, Ethan Tristchler, Oisin Healy, Shane Horgan, Killian Boyle and David Lynch.
Foundation Sports 14’s:
Three sides top 14 Premier:
Camp Juniors, Killorglin and Park A are all on 6 points and tied at the top of the Foundation Sports 14 Premier. Camp Juniors defeated Killarney Celtic 2-0 at Celtic Park thanks to two goals from Maurice O’Connell in a very good display.
Killorglin are also now on 2 wins from 2 games after goals from Dylan Moriarty 2, Cillian Burke, Adam Owens and Eoghan Hassett saw off Mastergeeha.
The Park join them on 6 points after they won away at Listowel Celtic A. John O’Connor 2, Cian Brosnan, Thomas O’Sullivan, Darragh Caplis and Sean Kedzierski scored for the Park.
Perfect 5 for Ballyhar but Dynamos chasing hard:
Ballyhar Dynamos are flying in the 14’s Division 1 and are now 5 wins from 5 after defeating Iveragh United at Murt Scott Park. Peter Cosgrave, Brian Burke and Aaron O’Shea all hit two goals with Josh Power and Andy Kelliher getting one each in the win.
Tralee Dynamos are doing everything they can to keep the pressure on Ballyhar and they are now onto 13 points following their 5-2 win over Dingle Bay Rovers. Andy Rogers andSean Horan both scored twice with Denis Brosnan getting the other one. Tadgh Murphy replied for the West Kerry boys.
Inter Kenmare were 5-3 winners at home to Killarney Celtic B thanks to goals from Caleb Brosnan, Corey Murphy, Simon O’Connor, Denis Koyun and Aodhan MacGearailt. Simon Coffey, Erin Moloney and Mike McCarthy were the Celtic scorers.
The Park B and Fenit finished with the same 5-3 score line with the away side hitting the 5. The Fenit scorers were Eddie McCarthy 2, Lorcan Ryan, Adam Doyle and James Russell while Matt Healy hit all three for Park B,
Tralee sides win away in 16 Premier:
Tralee Dynamos and The Park are both level at the top of the Tralee Trophy World 16 Premier after both enjoyed away wins. There was only 1 goal between Dynamos and Mastergeeha with Leo Gaxha scoring for the Tralee side.
The Park were 4-1 winners away in Killorglin thanks to goals from Colin Walsh, Mervin Shalemba, Paddy O’Rourke and Padraig McCannon.
Leaders beaten in Division 1:
A late Keith Suter goal gave Killarney Athletic the three points in a 3-2 away win at leaders Camp Juniors. Harry Potts and Liam Kelliher had put Athletic 2-0 up before two goals from Killian Flavey levelled matters. Up stepped Suter for the late winner.
Ballyhar Dynamos also took three points as they were 3-1 winners at home to Listowel Celtic A. Conor Henderson, Jason Brennan and Dylan Callaghan scored for Ballyhar.
Ballyheigue and Inter Kenmare shared the points in a game played in dry but windy conditions. Both sides created chances in the first period but neither could hit the net. Tommy Cronin scored for Inter 5 minutes into the second half but Sean Sheehan equalised with 15 minutes to go.
Inter thought they had snatched a winner with 15 minutes to go but the referee disallowed Cronin’s goal an earlier free kick.
Draw in Division 2:
The only game in the 16’s Division 2 saw Fenit and Asdee Rovers share the points in a 2-2 draw. Conor Gaynor and Abib Hosain got the Fenit goals with Barry O’Neill and an og levelling matters for Asdee.
