Skechers 13 National Cup:

Kerry sides impressive at home.

The winners in the 13’s go into Round 3 where 20 teams are left. The Park had two teams in action and the Premier side progress thanks to a 5-0 win at home to Holycross. The goals came from Cianan Cooney who hit a hat trick with Colin Doody and Danny Jeffers getting one each.

The Park Division 1 side were up against it away to Fairview Rangers in Limerick and went down 3-0. Killarney Athletic are the second Kerry side through on the same score-line 3-0 but they didn’t have to kick a ball as Tulla United were a no show.

Mastergeeha were much too strong for Mountshannon at Kilbrean Park and won with goals from Mark O’Shea 3, Colin and Oisin O’Leary 2 each with Donagh Fahy and Oran Dwyer getting one each.

Skechers 15’s National Cup:

5 Star’s at 15’s:

The 15’s qualifiers are now only one round from the Last 32 and at the weekend 5 of the 6 Kerry sides progressed, showing the high standards there are at this age group.

Killorglin were involved in the toughest battle and needed extra time to get past Caherdavin. Stephen O’Loughlin scored in normal times to leave the sides level at 1 all. In extra time the same player got the winner for Killorglin.

Killarney Celtic travelled to Abbeyfeale and won 4-1. The Hoops goals came from Emmet Finnan, James Darmody, Jack O’Connor and Ruairi Doyle.

Listowel Celtic were another Kerry side that had a good win on the road. They were in Limerick and defeated Fairview Rangers 2-0 thanks to goals from Conor Hogan and Darragh Lynch.
