Kerry 13’s win and draw:
Kerry 13’s Emerging Talent Squad welcomed South Tipperary to Mounthawk Park for the 3rd round of the Subway Inter League. Both sides had two teams on duty on the day.
In the Inter League game the points were shared in a 0-0 draw. Aaron Doyle went closest for breaking the deadlock for Kerry in the first half. In the second period South Tipperary created some chances of their own and the Kerry keeper Brian Dineen was called on to make some important saves.
Kerry pushed on looking for the winner and Luke Doolan, Sam Slattery and Liam Hennigan were all narrowly off target as both sides had to be happy with a point each.
The Development side put in a great effort to win 3-0 with Ruairi O’Connell, Darragh Lynch and Ronan Carroll on the mark.
Listowel Celtic 15’s out of National Cup
Listowel Celtic made the trip to Limerick to take on top side Aisling Annacotty and the sides were level 1-1 at the break. However the home side hit Listowel Celtic for two early goals in the second half and then pulled away.
Latest round of 11’s non trophy games:
There was another full round of games in the 11’s non-trophy groups. 18 clubs fielded teams this weekend’s with nearly 300 of our youngest players in action.
Top 2 win in 13 Premier:
Leaders LB Rovers made it 4 wins from 4 in the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier. Leigh Meehan was the hero hitting all three goals for his side to move them onto 12 points. JJ O’Donoghue and Oisin Fleming got the Celtic goals.
Killarney Athletic are also unbeaten having notched up their third win from their three games. Luke Doolan 3, Liam Hennigan 2, Szymon Jasinski, Brian O’Shea and James Dempsey were the Athletic scorers from the game played in Woodlawn.
Tralee Dynamos won 4-1 away at Inter Kenmare with Michael Tangney on the mark for Inter. Adam Evans hit three for Dynamos with Rory O’Halloran getting the other goal.
Killorglin will be happy to get their first win in their second game as they beat the Park thanks to 2 goals from Arron Doyle who got 2, Adam O’Neill from a cracking free kick, Darragh Lynch from long range and James Jones but it was not all one way traffic as Killorglin keeper Sean O’Sullivan was in great form.
Dingle Bay win battle of unbeaten sides in 13 Division 1:
Killarney Athletic B and Dingle Bay Rovers met in Woodlawn with both sides having won their two opening games. After the game it was the West Kerry side that kept their unbeaten record winning 3-0 to move onto 9 points. The Dingle Bay Rovers goals came from Cian MacGearalit, Padraig Manning and Jack Sheehy.
Inter Kenmare C kept the top two sides in their sight with a 5-1 home win over Killarney Athletic C. For Inter Jack Wiggins, John O’Sullivan, Alex Sheehan, Robbie Guest and Emmet Cronin all scored with Darragh O’Sullivan controlling the game from midfield.
Mastergeeha got their first win from their two games thanks to goals from Evan O’Sullivan 2, James O’Connor, Mathew Kennedy and Thomas Myers in their 5-0 win away at Inter Kenmare B. Camp Juniors defeated Park B 2-1 at home with Nadal Rivas on the mark for the Tralee side.
Leaders win away in 13 Division 2 North
The Park C continue their unbeaten run in the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Division 2 North as they won away at Listowel Celtic B. The Park’s goals came fro,m Maciez Kubik, Saad Abdall, Patrick Wojtawk, Marcel Kowalczyk and Brian Heaphy.
Camp Juniors were 7-3 winners at home to Fenit in a game where Mikey O’Leary was on fire hitting 5 for the winners with Jago Brodie and Mark Vansteekiske also on the mark. Lilly Nowak got all three goals for Fenit.
MEK remain unbeaten but only just in 13 Division 2 South
There was a cracking at Murt Scott Park when Ballyhar Dynamos just went down 3-4 to MEK Galaxy C after being 4-0 down. For MEK Galaxy C Jamie Voosden, Ryan Carey and Eanna Murphy were the scorers. Sean Barry, Shayden Lyne and Harry O’Connor got the goals in the Ballyhar comeback.
Iveragh 2 from 2 in 15 Premier
Iveragh United have made the perfect start to the Killarney Plaza 15 Premier with 2 wins from 2. They were 1-0 home winners against Killorglin with Oisin Breen getting the vital goal.
Dynamos Delight in 15 Division 1:
There was only one game in the Killarney Plaza 15’s Division 1 with Tralee Dynamos winning away at Fenit. The goals came from Tom Quilligan, Alex Hoare, Darragh Cummane and Adrian Horgan for the Dynamos.
Killorglin B off the mark in 15 Division 2
Killorglin B were 3-1 winners at home to Killarney Athletic B in the 15’s Division 2. Oran Daly got the goal for Athletic who also had a great game from Kieron McHugh. For the winners the goals came from Mathew Naughton and Bartek Zglinsk in the first half and two from Mathew Murphy in the second half.
Honours even in the 16 Division 1 South
There was one game in the Tralee Trophy World 16 Division 1 South on Sunday between MEK Galaxy and Inter Kenmare finishing all square at 2-2. Shane Evans got both the goals for MEK Galaxy.
Celtic’s win in the 13 Premier:
There were wins for both Celtic’s in the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier with Killarney Celtic winning at home to Fenit and Listowel Celtic coming out on top away to Fenit.
For Killarney Celtic Clogadh Moriarty, Aine Fitzgerald and Clogadh McGorrian were the scorers. Listowel Celtic’s goals came from Laura Falvey, Holly Boyle, Lisa Slattery, Laura Meehan and Anna Slattery with Keelan O’Shea replying for the home side.
LB Rovers go joint top of 13 Division 1
With Killarney Celtic and Castleisland not in action LB Rovers took the opportunity to join them on 9 points as all three sides are unbeaten in their 3 games. The LB Rovers goals came from Roisin Fogarty and Erica McSherry who both scored 2 each with Ruby Browne also on the mark.
In the other game the Park and Dingle Bay Rovers drew 2-2. Hannah Nic Gearailt and Ciara Kennedy were on the mark for the West Kerry side. Aoife Begley Jacinta Griffin got the goals for the Park to earn her side the point.
Celtic open weekend with a win in the 15’s:
The 15 Girls Premier game in Dingle opened the weekends action when Killarney Celtic defeated the home side 4-0. For Celtic the scorers were Ava O’Neill, Tierna Murphy and Aideen O’Brien 2. For Dingle Bay Rovers Emma O’Brien was the best player on the night.
Listowel Celtic win in the 17’s:
A much more experienced Listowel Celtic u17 girls side defeated the Park’s team in this game at Christy Leahy Park.
Girl’s Roll of Honour: This was one of the busiest weekends of the season in the Girls Division and there were lots of standout performances from:
Aideen O’Brien and Lucy O’Sullivan Killarney Celtic, Eabha Jordan and Emma O’Connor Dingle Bay Rovers, Grace Reilly and Emily Rose Murphy Fenit Samphiers, Roisin Fogarty and Erica McSherry LB Rovers, Kaja Huserova and Aoife Begley from St Brendan’s Park.
