REPUBLIC of Ireland U15 Head Coach Colin O’Brien has named his squad for two friendly international matches against Scotland in Kerry later this month.

The Irish will host the Scots at Killarney Celtic FC’s Celtic Park on Friday, January 23 (7.00pm) then the sides meet again on Sunday, January 25 (12.00pm), at Listowel Celtic’s Tanavalla ground.

Ireland played Poland in two testing fixtures in November and O’Brien will be looking for his side to grow their international experience in these fixtures against the Scots.

“These games will give us a chance to have a look at a few different players to those who played in Poland and we try to look at as many players as we can over a season,” said O’Brien.

“The Poland games were good tests and we’ll be looking for the players to continue working on the attacking and defending principles of how we play in these fixtures.

“Scotland will provide decent opposition and it will be a good test for the squad to play in front of a home crowd for the first time in an international game.”
