Jesse starts and Captains Ireland

REPUBLIC of Ireland U16 Head Coach Tom O’Connor is looking forward to his side’s first game of the season tomorrow when they face Estonia in Listowel (4.30pm).

The Irish face the Estonians in two friendly fixtures in County Kerry with a second meeting on Thursday at Killarney Celtic FC.

O’Connor’s charges trained at both grounds since Saturday and the Irish coach is more than pleased with how they have settled in.

“The clubs have been fantastic and the players feel very comfortable here,” he said.

“These games are about getting a performance and seeing how they do at international level. Everything has gone well training wise so we’ll give them all a chance to show what they can do.”
