Killarney Celtic travelled to Ferrybank in Waterford and had Hannah O’Donoghue in unstoppable form. She put Celtic 2-0 up early on before Ferrybank came back to draw level. But O’Donoghue, aided by a very good team performance, hit two more unanswered goal to put Celtic into the next round.
Killarney Celtic face Carragiline this Saturday at 2pm in the quarter final. Listowel Celtic are also through but have to wait for the outcome of the delayed Nenagh / Adare first round game.
Back from captaining the Irish under 17’s in the Euro Elite phase Savanna McCarthy continued her great form by hitting 5 goals in Listowel Celtic’s under 16 win. Sara Moriarty added a sixth to set up a home quarter final tie against Connolly Celtic, due to be played on the first weekend in November.

14’s First Round:
There wasn’t as much good news in the 14’s with Castleisland and Mastergeeha going out to Pike Rovers and Bridge United respectively. However the Park B are through beating Avenue B away in Clare 4-0.
However the sides through to round two had a better time. Kingdom Boys had a god win away to Ballymackey with Dara Lowth 2, Nemanja Samardzic and Dan Goggin scored in a 4-0 win.
Inter Kenmare were in this section for the first time and recoded a great 5-2 home win over Shannon Town. Dillon O’Connor, Tom Murnane, Boki Nikic and two from Donal O’Sullivan were the Inter goal getters.
A Cillian Spillane hat trick and one each from Eamon Rohan and Jack Sheahan saw Listowel Celtic progress on a 5-1 score-line over Moneypoint.

Mastergeeha got through without kicking a ball as Burren United didn’t travel but Listowel Celtic and Fenit are both out. Listowel Celtic lost 3-0 to Nenagh with Fenit going down in a 13 goal thriller. Sean Higgins hit 3 and Chris Murphy 2 but they couldn’t prevent Charleville hitting 8.

There was one game in the 16 Premier with the local derby taking place at Woodlawn. But it was the visitors who took the points back to Celtic Park. Cathal O’Shea 2, Michael Potts and Mark Harnett, who played the first half in goals, were on the mark for The Hoops.
In 16’s Division 1 there were wins for Inter Kenmare over Killorglin, Killarney Athletic B and Park B.
Killarney Athletic defeated Park C 4-3 with their goals coming from Jack O’Connor, Adam Dennehy, Mike Cronin and David Rae. Indeed with less than a quarter of the game to go this result looked unlikely as Athletic were 3-1 down. Kevin Horgan 2 and Jamie Leen 1 put Park C ahead but they couldn’t hang on.
Their team mates on the B’s had better look as they won 5-2. Josh Loucher got 3 and Donagh O’Brien and Danny Brosnan one each in their win with Fionan Walsh and Ciaran Sheehan replying for Killarney Celtic B.
