Kingdom Boys Under 11’s the highlight of a curtailed programme

Under 11 National Cup Last 64:
Kingdom Boys under 11’s qualified for the Last 32 of the National Cup
with a comprehensive 3-0 win at home to Dungarvan.
Dara Lowth, Dillon Robinson and Ryan O’Neill were all on the mark for
the Tralee boys with Dara Devine turning in a man of the match
performance at centre back.
Kingdom Boys will now go on the road to face either Ballymahon or
Ballinsloe for a place in the Last 16.

National Cup Under 13:
Listowel Celtic crashed out in th worst possible way going down 4-3 on
penalties. Darren Murphy had scored in normal time
but Abbeyfeale also got a goal to leave the score after full and extra
time at 1-1.
Into penalties and Abbeyfeale managed to score four while Listowel
Celtic got three and hit the post with the other two.

National Cup Under 15:
Unfortunately there was no luck for Listowel Celtic’s under 15’s
either as they went out 3-2 after extra time.
Goals from Daniel Barden and Ian Murphy saw the game finish 2-2 but
Carrick United managed to hit the winner in extra time.

League Result:
Daly’s Supervalu Under 13 Div 1:
Castleisland 3-5 Mastergeeha.
With this the only game going ahead in the League victory would give
either side a big boost and it was the away side that
took the three points. Mastergeeha now move level with Castleisland
and Camp on eight points in joint second place as they chase
Divisional leaders Ballyhar who are on 11 points.
Mastergeeha’s goals in this win came from Owen McSweeney, Oscar
O’Connor, Chris Keane, Aidan Kelly and Kevin Leader
while Sean O’Donoghue with two and one from Ethan O’Connor were on the
mark for Castleisland.

Outstanding Players:
As there were not enough games played to pick a Team of the Week here
are some of the players who performed well.

Listowel Celtic Under 13 and Darragh O’Shea Listowel Celtic U15,
Ethan O’Connor Castleisland U13 and Oscar O’Connor and Chris Keane
from Mastergeeha’s Under 13’s.

Kerry players do well at Irish Trials:
Kingdom Boys Paul White and Adam Piggott were in Dublin at the weekend
in their latest bid to make it onto the
Irish Schools Squad. They trained on Friday night and played UCD’s
YOuths on Saturday.
A squad of 31 players will be trimmed to 24 in the coming weeks for
the Schools International Squad.
