In the JK Sports 12 Premier a Sebastian Vassiu goal was the difference between the sides as The Park beat near neighbours Kingdom Boys 1-0.
Killarney Celtic B and Kingdom Boys B made it two wins from 2 in Division 1. Celtic had goals from Evan Lyne 3, David Callaghan, Enna Coleman and Dylan McCarthy as they won away to Listowel Celtic B. Kingdom Boys B game at home to Ballyhar was closer with the home side getting 2 goals from Joe Carmody and Sylvester Trafmi while Jason Brennan was on the mark for the visitors.
In Division 2 Asdee and St Bernards have 6 points on the board from their two games. Asdee defeated Camp who had Brian O’Callaghan and Eoin Doyle on the mark. Oisin Maunsell 3, Keith O’Connor, Jack Sheehan and Declan O’Donoghue were the St Bernard’s goal getters as they made it two wins from 2.
Killorglin B were too strong for Behy Rovers and had goals from Dean Callen, Martin Foley, Gabriel Girffin who all hit hat tricks while Jack Evans only managed 2!
The O’Callaghan Coaches 14 Premier game was a mid week clash of Listowel Celtic and Kingdom Boys and it was the visitors who took the points. Eoin McElligott, Eddie Rodgers, Rian O’Sullivan and Darragh Lowth were all on the mark for the Tralee side.
In Division 1 Castlemaine got the points without kicking a ball while in Division 2 Listowel Celtic B are the early pace setters. They added three points to the three they already had thanks to goals from Michael Kirby, Jamie Lynch, Dean Halpin and Conor Kennelly. Patrick Kelliher, Niall Downey (pen) and Ben McSweeney scored for Asdee.
Killorglin now have 4 points from their two games thanks to a win over Castleisland for whom Colin O’Donoghue and Sean Horan scored.
The Park B join them on 4 points after they defeated Killarney Athletic B. Rees Hegarty got 2 with one from penalty spot, Stephen O’Sullivan and Finabarr Hickey the others.
In the only uneven game played, The Park B had a good win over Killarney Athletic B to join them on three points. Tommy Counihan’s goal wasn’t enough to get anything from the game as Gearoid Savage, Shane McGinley, Sean Tansley and Aaron Shanahan 2 all scored for The Park.
There was plenty of action in the Tralee Trophy World 16’s. In the North section The Park were too strong for Camp thanks to goals from James Duggan, Paddy Collins, Shane McLoughlin, Ferdia O’Brien and Fergal O’Donoghue in the game against Camp played on Wednesday night.
Also in mid week action were Listowel Celtic and Kingdom Boys with the home side taking the points on a 3-1 score line. Joe Melvin, Chris Elbell and Jack Foley scored for Listowel Celtic with a Cathal Kennedy penalty the Kingdom Boys reply. On Saturday Fenit and Castleisland played out a scoreless draw while Cmap had goals from Eoin Curry 2, Sean O’Hara, Michael Moran and Maurice Slattery in their 5-2 win over Killarney Celtic B for whom Javier Ruiz scored twice.
It’s a great sign of the strength of Killorglin that they now have two team in the 16 South section. They faced each other with the A side coming out on top but only on a 3-0 score line. Andre O’Sullivan, Neill Cronin and Luke Connolly were the socrers.
Girls: Well done to both Killarney Celtic and Listowel Celtic’s under 12 Girls teams who took part in the Munster Under 12 Blitz at UL. Both sides really enjoyed their day out and they matched up well against competition from girls from Munster’s other seven Leagues.
