In the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier Killarney Celtic defeated Listowel Celtic 2-1 but the North Kerry side were in celebratory mood as they had already been crowned Champions. Michael Devlin and Sean Doherty scored for Killarney Celtic while Cillian Spillane got the Listowel Celtic goal, completing a remarkable record of scoring in every League game.
Runner up spot in the 13 Division 1, behind Castleisland, will go down to the last game. Killarney Athletic did what they had to do in winning against Park B to move level with Mastergeeha on 24 points. However Mastergeeha are finished their games while Athletic have one left, against Killarney Celtic C.
In this game Athletic’s Jason Coffey hit a hat trick with Finbarr Hickey and JJ Buckley getting one each. Robin McCarthy got both goals for the Park.
Kingdom Boys had a mixed week in the Killarney Plaza 15 Premier. Mid- week they defeated Mastergeeha 5-2 with their goals coming from Cathal Kennelly 2, Diarmuid O’Connor 2 and Danny O’Sullivan while David Gleeson and Gearoid Kerins got Mastergeeha’s goals.
On Saturday they went down to The Park, but were missing a number of regulars. Sam Tarrant and Fionn Mellon scored for Kingdom Boys.
The Park’s win keeps them in the hunt to tie with leaders Killarney Celtic at the top of the table. However they will need to win all their games and hope Celtic lose their last game. For this three points Karl Mullins, Conor Lowe, Ferdia O’Brien and Jesse Stafford Lacey were all on the score sheet.
In the 15’s Division 2 Killarney Athletic B defeated Asdee 3-2. Lorcan MacMonagle, Michael Potts and Adam Dennehy scored for Athletic.
The Tralee Trophy World 16’s Division 1 saw both games ending in draws. This Division is very tight with Castleisland drawing 2 all with Ballyhar to finish on 17 points from their 8 games. Ballyhar themselves are still well in the hunt. However there two draws are a set back after four straight wins. Daniel O’Connor and Connall Murphy scored for Ballyhar in their 2 all draw while Jack Griffin got their goal in a 1 all draw with Fenit for whom Sean Higgins scored.
