National Cup – 12’s:
From those that played this weekend in the 12’s Killarney Celtic won the all Kerry clash defeating Listowel Celtic 4-3 away. Jake Kelly, Shane Loughnane and Sean Keane scored for the home side but a Jack O’Halloran hat-trick and one from Lee Downing saw Killarney Celtic into the next round, but it was tighter that they would have liked been 4-1 ahead.
There was no luck for Fenit who went down 0-2 to Shannon Town at home and Killorglin who lost 4-0 at Corbally.
In Round 2 Killarney Athletic had a very good 6-3 win in Woodlawn over Newcastle West Rovers. Jason Coffey was unstoppable scoring 4 with Chavez and Liam Curran netting the other two.
Ballynanty Rovers made good their trip to Kilbrean Park defeating Mastergeeha 6-0.
National Cup 14’s:
There were some very good performances at this age group from the Kerry sides with all 5 winning their Round 1 clashes. Killarney Celtic put 7 past Newcastle West Rovers without reply. Peter McCarthy hit 3, Mikey Moynihan 2 and Mark Harnett and David Spillane one each.
Kingdom Boys went one better scoring 8 to Shannon Town’s 2. Kian Liston and Ferdia O’Brien got 2 each with Simon Lonnergan, Sam Tarrant, Joe Vesey and Eoin Dunne all getting one each.
The Park and Mastergeeha were both away and had very impressive victories. 4 from Kieran Carmody and one from Fergal Ryan were plenty to see the Tralee side through, 5-1 against Geraldines from Limerick.
Mastergeeha were also in Limerick but closer to home as they travelled to Adare and beat the home side 4-1. Dean Fitzgerald, Thomas Fleming, Gearoid Kerins and Sean Twomey were the goal scorers.
Back in Kerry and Listowel Celtic welcomed Askeaton and proved too strong for the visitors winning 9-0. Cathal Kennelly hit 4, Mike Fowley 2 and there was one each from Jack Healy, Ashley Kelliher and Jack Hennessey.
However its over for Killorglin as they went down by the odd goal in five at home to Coonagh United. William Hickey and Dylan O’Sullivan were on the mark for Killorglin but it just wasn’t enough.
National Cup 16’s:
The games player on Saturday did not go the way of the Kerry sides with only Fenit winning. Mastergeeha were beaten 2-0 by Granagh United, Moyross went through against Dingle Bay Rovers, a Derek Dillon goal was not enough to help Listowel Celtic as they went down 5-1 to Granville Rangers and Killorglin lost out to Ballymackey despite two goals from Aidan Cox in a game that finished 3-2.
Fenit were at home to Mungret Regional, always a tough side, but the Kerry boys did very well winning 5-2. Cian McGarry, Denis Cosgrave, Brian Hill, Gearoid Carmody and Darragh McCarthy all hit one each.

12’s Premier: Killarney Celtic made it 2 wins from 2 with a 3-0 win over Athletic thanks to goals from Eoin Moynihan, Jack Hanrahan and Lee Downing. The Tralee derby was a much more exciting affair with both sides sharing ten goals and Kingdom Boys getting caught from a position of being 4-1 up with seven minutes left. To be fair they made a number of changes but that shouldn’t take away from The Parks recovery. Dillon Robinson proved again how dangerous he is in front of goal hitting all 5 for Kingdom Boys. Gearoid Sheehan got three for The Park with Gearoid Fitzgerald and Ruiari Kelly getting the other two.
12’s Div 1: The Park B took their first three points of their campaign with a 5-0 win over Listowel Celtic B in their second game thanks to goals from Robben McCarthy 2, John Ward, Mark Ryan and David Couchman whose long range strike was the goal of the game.
Inter Kenmare were 2-0 winners over Killarney Celtic B thanks to a penalty from Tadgh Siochru and a goal from Mark Looney while Camp also took three points with a 3-1 win over St Bernards. Jack Farrell got 2 and Conor O’Brien the other for the victorious home side.
13 Premier: Kingdom Boys were 2-1 winners away to Listowel Celtic with Dillon Robinson getting two to get his memorable week underway.
The Park A defeated Fenit 3-1 with goals from Joseph Benjimin, Gearoid Dillane and an og.
14’s Division 1 North: Asdee opened their campaign with a 5-1 win over Killorglin B. Tadgh O’Connor, Liam Culhane, Cillian Courtney and two from Seamus O’Sullivan were the North Kerry sides scorers.
In the Southern Section Inter Kenmare hoped to add to their opening day win and were 1-0 up against Iveragh United thanks to a goal from Tom O’Sullivan. But the South Kerry side had other ideas and goals from Darren Casey and Niall O’Shea gave them the three points.
In the 15’s Premier Killarney Athletic will be very happy with their 3-2 win at Celtic. Mike McCarthy and Chris Keane scored for the home side but Athletic took the points thanks to Brian Fitzgerald, Michael Casey and Michael Foley.
Listowel Celtic also won on the road defeating Castleisland 6-1. Celtic’s goals came from Aidan Quinn and Michael Foley who got two each and one from Brian O’Seanachain and Chris Elbell.
Killarney Celtic and Athletic also met in the Div 1 clash at Celtic Park with the home sides B team just getting the better of their neighbours by the odd goal in seven. Mark Harnett and Hubert both got two each to make it an opening game victory for Celtic.
Ballyheighue Athletic are celebrating their first points in the Schoolboys League in only their second game after joining this season. To make it sweeter they won on the road travelling to Caherciveen and just came out on the right side of a 10 goal cracker. Two hat tricks from Joe Diggins and Mike Lyne gave Ballyheigue the points while goals from Anthony Currnane 2, Sam Dwyer and Paul Curtain wasn’t enough to get anything for Iveragh United.
Goals from Shane Lowth, Gary Roche and Marcus Sugrue saw Park B come back from two goals down to win 3-2 at home to Ballyhar.
