In Group 1 Kingdom Boys and Listowel Celtic A while in Group 2 Mastergeeha travelled to Tralee and got the better of Park B.
Group 3 saw Camp win at home to Asdee and Ballyhar too strong for Killarney Celtic C.
Daly’s Supervalu 13’s:
Kingdom Boys gave early indication that they will be one of the teams to keep an eye on in the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier Division. Dillon Robinson continued on from a great goal scoring season to open the new one with a hat trick. His three were added to by one each from Kevin Williams and Mike Kelliher.
In Division 1 the first Killarney derby proved to be a cracker with Athletic making the short cross town journey a winning one as they got the better of Celtic by the odd goal in seven.
Jason Coffey was the main scorer for Killarney Athletic as he netted a hat trick while man of the match Ruairi O’Keeffe got the fourth. For Killarney Celtic Oisin Boulder scored twice, either side of a Pierce Lyne Roberts goal after he was set up by an Eamon Murphy header/
Killarney Plaza 15’s:
Ballyhar and The Park had the honour of the getting the 2012 / 2013 season underway as they played on Friday night. However there was no luck for the home side as The Park proved too strong. Jesse Stafford Lacey got 3, Ciaran Carmody 2 with Danny Brosnan and Ferdia O’Brien adding one each. For the home side Brendan O’Mahony was on the mark.
There was one game in Division 2 with the Celtic and Athletic B sides meeting at Celtic Park and it was the home side that took the points.
