There were two games played mid week with Kingdom Boys having a very good 2-0 win over Killarney Celtic under Celtic’s lights on Monday night. Thomas Phelan and Calvin Foley got the goals for the Tralee side which sees them move to within a point second placed Celtic.

In the Under 13 Cup Killarney Athletic B moved into the second round following a 6-2 win over Killroglin B. David Harnett top scored for the winners with 2 while Billy Courntey, David Shaw, Paul Clarke and Jack O’Connor all got one each. Ray Marinon and Jack Sullivan replied for Killorglin B.

National Cup Last 32:

U12: New Oak 1-4 Park. This was the performance of the day with The Park moving into the Last 16 of the competition following their 4-1 win away to New Oak of Carlow. Jessie Stafford Lacey, Fergal Ryan and two from Kieran Carmody put’s the Park into the next round where they again have to travel, this time to the very good Salthill Devon. But following this win The Park won’t fear anyone.

U13: Lourdes Celtic 3-1 Killarney Athletic. Unfortunately there was no luck for Killarney Athletic who went down 3-1 in Dublin.

Under 12 John Murphy Cup – First Round;

Iveragh United and Camp have put themselves into the hat for the second round draw of the John Murphy Cup following wins at the weekend. Iveragh were 6-2 victor’s at home to Mastergeeha thanks to goals from John Murphy 3, Darren Casey, Niall Brennan and Niall O’Shea. Thomas Fleming and Eoin Daly replied for Mastergeeha.

Camp just got the better of Killorglin B by the odd goal in five. Joe O’Grady, Brian Kennedy and Joe Hoare scored for the winners with Padraig Cronin and Darren Griffin replying for Killorglin B.

League Reports:

Under 12 Girls: Killarney Athletic and Kingdom Girls played out a five goal thriller with the Killarney side just coming out on the right side. Elizabeth Mahon scored twice and Christina Cooper once in the Killarney girls win.

Under 16 Girls; Inter Kenmare had a Player of the Match performance from Michelle O’Connor in goal but it wasn’t enough to stop Listowel Celtic as their experience saw them through by the slimmest margin. Lauren Flavin hit the only goal of the game.

Moriarty’s Centra Under 11 Premier:

Goals from Adam Cronin, David Loughnane and Michael Dowling sees Listowel Celtic leap frog Kingdom Boys into second place in the table following their 3-1 win over Killarney Athletic.

JK Sports U12 Premier;

Killarney Celtic take over at the top of the division following a hard fought 1-0 win over Listowel Celtic. Peter McCarthy scored the only goal of the game. They have a one point lead over Kingdom Boys whose 6-1 win over Fenit (Oisin O’Brien) sees them move a point ahead of Mastergeeha who now slip to third.      

Div 1:

Inter Kenmare were the only one of the three sides tied at the top of the table to play and they took full advantage to move three points clear at the top following a 2-0 win over Clanmaurice.

Div 2:

Leaders Iveragh United and second placed Kingdom Boys weren’t in action but it was still a very good day for them as third placed Killarney Celtic went down 2-1 to the Park B. Both of these sides are now level on 9 points, four behind Kingdom Boys in second.

Daly’s Supervalu Under 13 Div 1;

Inter Kenmare secured a good point in a 1-1 draw with 4th placed Killorglin. Daniel Whittington was Killorglin’s scorer.

O’Callaghan’s Coaches Under 14 Premier:

No problems for leaders Killarney Celtic in a depleted Premier programme as they were too strong for Ballyhar. Jordan Kiely, Liam Carey and Donal Lyne were the scorers. Celtic have now opened a seven point gap over The Park but they do have two games in hand.

Div 1 North:

Listowel Celtic closed the gap on the sides above them with a 4-1 win over Camp. Darragh Sheehan and Derek Dillon both scored two each with JJ Landers replying for Camp.

  Div 1 South:

Second played first at Kilbrean Park and it was the away side Iveragh United who extended their lead over hosts Mastergeeha to seven points following a 4-0 win. Brian Sugrue got two with Jack Daly and Dermot Keating getting the others.

Dante’s Under 16 Premier;

Joint leaders Killarney Celtic were held to a 1- 1 draw at home to neighbours Athletic in the Killarney derby. Scott O’Mahoney scored for the Hoops with Diarmuid Galvin replying for The Blues. Celtic now lead the Division by a point to Kingdom Boys who were in National Cup action.

Inter Kenmare moved to within a point of third place with a good 5-1 win away to The Park. Steven Roche scored for the home side but goals from Denis O’Neill, Eoghan O’Sullivan, Gavin Crowley, Cian Hallisey and Colm O’Sullivan saw Inter take all three points.

Div 1:

Six from six became seven from seven for Iveragh United as they were 2-0 winners over third placed Camp. Darragh Scanlon and David O’Sullivan were on the mark for Iveragh.

Listowel Celtic closed to within a point of opposition Ballyhar with a 3-0 win thanks to goals from Ian Murphy, Billy Joy and Micheal Woods. Listowel Celtic are 12 points off top spot but have four games in hand on the leaders so this race is not over yet.
