Girls Under 10 Blitz:
The first of a series of under 10’s Girls Blitz’s took place in Killarney Celtic with teams from the host club, Killarney Athletic, Listowel Celtic and Inter Kenmare taking part. All teams enjoyed four games where participation and fun was the order of the day. There will be another u10 Blitz for the girls before Christmas and all clubs are encouraged to try and put a team together.
Girls 13 Premier:
In a high scoring encounter between the two Celtic’s it was Listowel that defeated Killarney in Pat Kennedy Park on a score-line of 5-3. Aoife Horgan got the match ball for Listowel Celtic as she hit a hat trick with Caoimhe Spillane and Mairead McKenna netting one each.
For Killarney Celtic their goals came from Isabel Murphy 2 and Kate Murphy.
The 16 Premier game was the Killarney derby in Woodlawn where Killarney Celtic defeated the hosts Atheltic 3-0. Candila Terry (not sure if she’s any relation of John’s) scored twice for the Hoops who also had Siobhan Burns on the score-sheet.
Moriarty’s Centra 11’s League:
There was action in the 3 groups at 11’s and in Group 1 Listowel Celtic and Kingdom Boys just got the better of Killorglin and Inter Kenmare while Killarney Celtic and The Park couldn’t be separated. In Group 2 it was Killarney Celtic B and Listowel Celtic B who emerged winners over Park B and Killorglin B, both of whom put in great efforts. The Park C and Ballyhar took the spoils in Group 3 over Killarney Celtic C and Asdee who were on a few kicks of the ball away from getting something.
Daly’s Supervalu 13 Premier:
League leaders Killarney Celtic travelled to second placed the Park in an important early season game. After a tight encounter it was the visitors who took the three points, thanks to a Liam Spillane goal. This now see Killarney Celtic move onto 4 wins from 4 and gives them a 3 point lead.
Killorglin are now second on their own thanks to a 4-2 win at home to Listowel Celtic. Dylan O’Neill, Gar Hassett, Jack O’Connor and Dean Collins got their goal while Devan McKenna and Jack Kennelly were on the mark for Listowel Celtic.
Kingdom Boys kept the sight above them in their sights with a 4-0 win at home to Mastergeeha. John Carmody, Leo Gaxha, Codi Dauti and David Rogers were the scorers.
Division 1:
St Bernard’s continued their great start to the season and added three more points after they were 5-0 winners over Listowel Celtic B. Adam Burke and Darragh Slattery got one each but it was Declan O’Donoghue who did most of the damage netting a hat trick. They now have a six point lead at the top of the table.
This was after second placed Inter Kenmare suffered a 2-1 home loss to Killarney Athletic who now join them in joint second place on 9 points. Rory Burns and Tadgh Doolin, from a free kick, exchanged goals before Keith Suter hit the winner for Athletic.
Killarney Celtic B took an important three points home from Murt Scott Park to move onto 6 thanks to goals from David Cantillon and Evan Lyne. Jason Brennan replied for Ballyhar.
13 Division 2:
Listowel Celtic C jointly lead the way here and put three more points onto their tally following a 3-1 win at home to Killorglin B. The McGrath’s, Sean and Nathan, who are not related, got the goals for the winners with Sean getting 2.
Camp are flying and are level with Listowel Celtic and have a game in hand after the won their 4th game in a row, defeating Park B 6-1. Jack Farrell top scored with 3, Chris Keane hit 2 and Sean Og Moran got the other.
Fenit were 3-2 away winners at Asdee who had Paddy O’Rourke and Jack Farrell on the mark while Killarney Celtic C will be happy to have three points on the board after a 6-2 win over Kingdom Boys B. Padraig Looney, Connie Cremin, Jack McGrath, Neil O’Shea and Christian Casey all scored for Celtic.
Killarney Plaza 15 Premier:
Killarney Celtic are unbeaten in this Division and are onto 12 points from their 4 games as they proved too strong for The Park. Mark Harnett, Martinez and Thando Dube scored a brace a piece with Cian Gammell and Luke O’Donoghue getting one each.
Kingdom Boys picked up three valuable points with a hard fought 2-1 win at Mastergeeha. Dylan Robinson was the match winner for the Tralee boys netting both their goals while Brian Friel replied for the home side.
Division 1:
Camp are top of the table following their 6-1 win away at Listowel Celtic B they are undefeated in their 6 games. Jimmy Grady was on fire scoring 5 while Joe Sunders chipped in with one.
Ballyhar are also unbeaten but have a game less played less. There latest three points came courtesy of a 6-1 home win over Asdee. Niall O’Donoghue and Josh Flynn both scored twice with Diarmuid O’Mahony and Liam Brosnan getting the other goals.
Killorglin are the third unbeaten side in the Division and they continued on their winning way at Killarney Athletic, defeating the B’s 5-2. Sean O’Sullivan got both goals for Athletic but 2 from Keelan Cahill and one each from Harry Etherington, Conor Standen and Cian O’Shea gave Killorglin the points.
Park B and Killarney Celtic B shared the points in a 1 all draw. Oran Claffey got the goal for Celtic while Inter Kenmare were 1-0 winners over Castlemaine thanks to a Mark O’Riordan goal.
Tralee Trophy World 16 Premier:
The Park A are in second place on their own, and three points behind Killarney Celtic after a 3-0 win in Woodlawn over Killarney Athletic. Ferdia O’Brien, Fergal Ryan and Stefan Okumbar scored for The Park.
