11’s Group 3:
With the huge numbers playing the game at 11’s most clubs have two and three teams. Camp are one of those clubs that need two teams to cope with the demand of those youngsters who want to play the Beautiful Game. In Group 3 Camp A were a little too strong for their clubmates on the Camp B team.
JK Sports 12’s League:
In the Premier Killarney Celtic A made it three wins from three to top the Division thanks to a 3-1 win in the derby against Athletic played in Woodlawn. Shane O’Sullivan, Jack Hanrahan and Micheal Devlin were on the mark for Celtic with Liam Curran replying for the home side.
The Park A and Listowel Celtic A played out a 3-3 draw which sees the Tralee side move onto 5 points and Listowel Celtic now on 4 points from their two games. Gearoid Fitzgerald, Gearoid Sheehan and Adam Ward were on the mark for The Park with Jake Kelly, Cillian Spillane and Darragh O’Donoghue scoring for Listowel Celtic.
Kingdom Boys have also moved onto 4 points as they proved too strong for Mastergeeha. The red hot Dillon Robinson scored 4 with the other goals coming from Sean Foley, David O’Connor and James Quigley.
12’s Div 1:
Killarney Celtic B are the leaders here and are now unbeaten following their win over club mates Celtic C. Amongst the players who stood out were Daniel O’Mahoney, Liam Butler, Dara Hussey, Kieran O’Connor and Mike Doyle in goal.
Killorglin had two goals from Cathal Crosby to move into second place in the table thanks to their 2-1 win over Camp. Listowel Celtic B and St Bernards will both be happy to have points on the board following their 2-2 draw. Oision Maunsell got both the St Bernard’s goals.
Fenit and Inter Kenmare also shared the points in a 3-3 draw. Ciaran Murrary 2 and Colum Healy were on the mark for the home side with the 3’D’s’ scoring Daniel Fitzpatrick, Donal O’Sullivan and Daniel Casey getting Inter’s goals. Both of these sides now move onto four points.
O’Callaghan’s Coaches 14 Premier:
Kingdom Boys head up the table here and now have 7 points from 3 games after winning on double scores away to Fenit. Kingdom Boys scorers were Kian Liston 2, Segune Doyile, Ferdia O’Brien, Reen O’Connor and Aaron Sheehy all got one each. For Fenit Oisin O’Brien got 2 and Thomas Lenihan got the third.
The Park A and second placed Killarney Celtic A had to settle for a point a piece following a 1-1 draw. Gaza Savage got the goal for the Tralee side with Aaron Moynihan scoring for The Hoops.
Listowel Celtic A got their first three points of the season, following an opening day loss, thanks to a very good win in Killarney over Athletic. Cathal Kennedy got 2 and Michael Foley the other while Michael Pierce and David Shaw replied for Athletic.
Division 1 North:
Ballyhar made it two wins from two as they proved too strong for Park B thanks to goals from Sean McMahon, David O’Sullivan, Ciaran Brosnan, Kieran Griffin. They have joined Asdee on six points after the North Kerry side suffered their first loss of the season going down 3-1 to Killorglin B. Cian O’Mahoney got the goal for Asdee.
One game went ahead in this Division and it saw Fenit making it two wins from two thanks to a 4-2 home win against Killarney Athletic. Mitchell Holland got the match ball with a hat trick and Garry Hannafin the other for the home side while David Sheerin and Sean McGrath replied for Athletic.
Ballyheigue Athletic made it two wins in a row in their debut season and have certainly grabbed the attention in this Division. They defeated their neighbours Listowel Celtic in a welcome return of a North Kerry derby thanks to goals from Jordan Brick and 2 from Joe Diggins.
Ballyhar also won on the road making the long trip to Kenmare and defeated Inter 3-1. John Foley, William Courtney and Eddie O’Rourke were the Ballyhar goal getters.
Castlemaine also showed that they will be in the hunt for honours thanks to a 5-0 win over Park B. Jonathan O’Sullivan and Cathal O’Connor both got 2 each with Eoin O’Mahoney getting the other.
