Moriarty’s Centra 11’s:
There was action in the 3 groups in the 11’s Division. Killarney Celtic and The Park played a triple header at Celtic Park with the home side taking the Group 1 and 2 games while the Group 3 ended in an exciting draw.
Kingdom Boys were also winner as just got over Killarney Athletic in Group 1 while in Group 2 Killorglin B just got the better of Mastergeeha.
Ballyhar and Camp matched Killarney Celtic C with wins as they got the better of Fenit and Castleisland respectively.
Daly’s Supervalu 13’s:
The Park opened their Premier campaign with a big win over Killorglin who will have better days. Cathal Crosby’s goal was all that Killorglin had to show. However The Park had a range of scorers with Robin McCarthy hitting a hat trick. Three goals scored two each – Mike Slattery, Conor Higgins and Ruairi Kelly while Adam Ward also got onto the score sheet.
Kingdom Boys made it two wins from two as they won on the road at Inter Kenmare. Dylan Robinson once again led the scoring charts with 4 which were added to by one each from Michael Kelliher and Brian Lyons. Dylan O’Connor, Tadgh Sugrue and Mathew O’Sullivan were on the mark for the home side.
Division 1:
Mastergeeha took the three points in their first game of their 13 Division 1 campaign away to Camp. Dylan Murphy and Niall O’Connor both got two each with David Twomey, Dan O’Sullivan and Dan and Cormac O’Connor all scoring one each.
Killarney Celtic B will be delighted to have a point on the board after losing their first game. They drew 1 all with Park B. It could have been even better as they went ahead through Eamon Murphy but Dean Scanlon earned a point for his Park side.
O’Callaghan’s Coaches 14’s:
Mid week saw action in the 14 Premier and Division1 sections with Mastergeeha and Killarney Celtic winning at home. Goals from Patrick Warren and Niall McCarthy saw Mastergeeha defeating Ballyhar 2-1. Ciaran Flynn got the goal for the boys from Murt Scott Park.
Killarney Celtic had goals from David Clifford, Kasper Malinowski, Cian Casey, Luke O’Donoghue and Mark Harnett in their win at home to Killorglin.
Division 1:
Camp and Park A won midweek while Killarney Athletic A took the three points in the only Even age game played on Saturday. Camp’s goals came from Jimmy O’Grady 2 and Nathan Griffin in their win over Fenit. Chris Murphy replied for Fenit.
Castlemaine and The Park A were tied 1 all at half time thanks to goals from Sean Cremin and Dylan O’Sullivan. However it was the Tralee boys who pushed on in the second half scoring 4 without reply. O’Sullivan completed his hat trick, with one coming from the penalty spot, with Ciaran Killeen and Dean O’Connor adding the final two.
Blake Bolster is proving a revelation for Killarney Athletic and he put 5 past Killarney Celtic B. Michael Potts, Liam Curran, Lorcan MacMonagle and Kieran Kennedy all got one each while Patrick O’Leary scored two consolations for Celtic B.
Killarney Plaza 15’s:
In the Premier The Park took the Tralee derby against neighbours Kingdom Boys thanks to two goals from Jessie Stafford Lacey and D Carmody and one from Ferdia O’Brien.
Killarney Celtic made the trip to Murt Scott Park a profitable one. William Hickey and Blake Flynn scored for the home side but goals from David Clifford, Dion Marcos, Cian Gammell, Peter McCarthy and Havier Ruiz gave The Hoops the three points.
Inter Kenmare and Camp shared the points in Division 1 with Tom O’Sullivan the Inter scorer. Everyone in Schoolboys soccer is delighted that Inter Kenmare are back doing what they love doing, playing soccer after a few off field organisational problems that are now thankfully behind them.
Fenit were too strong for a weakened Killorglin side. Dara O’Connor took the match ball with a hat trick. Bobby O’Regan, Chris Murphy and Sean Higgins got two each with Jack McCarthy netting one.
Dylan O’Sullivan, Christian Fleming and Aaron McCarthy replied for Killorglin.
There was one game in Division 2 as Asdee made the long trip to Celtic Park to face Killarney Celtic B. And it was the away side that took the points home as Cian O’Mahoney 2, Michael Holly and Ciaran Courtney all scored. Jacob Alpiena got the only Celtic goal.
