SFAI National Cups begin with the Even Ages:
The long journey to SFAI National Cup glory got underway for the Even ages this weekend with the Uneven ages starting next Saturday and the Girls the weekend after.
There is a change in format this season with the introduction of a Shield for teams beaten in Rounds 1 and 2.
12’s National Cup:
Eric Corcoran had a day to remember as he hit 5 goals which were added to by one each from Max Moynihan, Robert Murphy and Patrick Sweeney as Killarney Athletic progressed to Round 2 defeating Ballingarry in Woodlawn.
Also through are St Brendan’s Park thanks to goals from Eoghan O’Driscoll, Liam Corkery, Nathan Anthony, Andy Costello and Blake Bowler in their win away at Broadford.
Killorglin had a hat trick from Noah Russell and two from Danny Fitzpatrick as they won at home against Lifford Celtic.
Tralee Dynamos made home advantage count against Shelbourne United and progressed thanks to goals from Luca Fusco, Luke Kavanagh, Eddie Carmody and Jamie O’Regan.
Two goals each from Mason Sheehy and Darragh Kissane put Listowel Celtic into Round 2 as they won at home to Ballymackey.
St Brendan’s Park (3) are through as they got a walkover from Birdhill while Killarney Celtic defeated Limerick FC in Hogan Park thanks to a Noah Brosnan hat-trick and one each from Cillian Scannell and Daniel Agebare.
There was an all St Brendan’s clash at Christy Leahy Park and the Park (4) with goals from Willie Duggan, Jamie McEvoy and Darragh Diggins defeated Park (2) whose goals came from Harry McGuire and Riigon.
MEK Galaxy had to wait until Sunday to play but it was worth the wait as they recorded a 2-0 win over Galbally United thanks to goals from Jack Clifford and Shea Driver.
Castleisland are into the Shield as they went down 3-2 to Abbeyfeale. Olly O’Shea got both the Castleisland goals.
14’s National Cup
Killorglin made a blistering start in their home game against Killarney Celtic who did fight back but went down 6-4 to go into the Shield. Mark Looney and Jack Culloty both scored 2 each for Celtic.
Killorglin are into Round 2 thanks to hat-tricks from Callum Robinson and Mikey Hynes.
Tralee Dynamos won at Corbally United thanks to two goals each from Johnny Neilings and Danny Lane and one from Aaron Crean.
MEK Galaxy also won on the road as they saw off BT Harps. The MEK scorers were Leo Allen and Michael Griffin.
Mastergeeha are another Kerry side into Round 2 as they won in Tipperary defeating Killivilla with the goals coming from Jack Murphy and Roan Guerin who got 2 each with Cathal O’Keffee and Fabian Iorowksa getting one each.
St Brendan’s Park go into the Shield as they went down 3-1 to Lough Derg. Philip McEneaney got the Park’s goal.
Inter Kenmare went down 4-2 in extra time away to Pike Rovers after the game ended 2-2. Tony Desmond and Aidan O’Sullivan scored for Inter.
A Loukas Cotter goal wasn’t enough for Castleisland as they lost away to Broadford. Sam Keane scored twice for Ballyheigue but they went down away to Murroe AFC.
16’s National Cup:
There was only one KSBGL side in 16’s Round 1 action but it was a winning one as Killarney Athletic won at home to Mungret Regional. One the mark for the Woodlawn side were Luke Doolan 3, Ben Kelliher 2, Jack Rudden, Liam O’Brien and Fionn Daly.

Slattery’s Carpets and Blinds 12’s Division 1
LB Rovers won away at Fenit Samphires. The LB goals came from Sean Dillon, Richie Kissane, Rian Lynch and Pat O’Connor. Cody Deady got the goal for Fenit.
Ballyhar Dynamos had goals from Alex Finn 2, Daniel Ryan and Callum Thompson in their win at Mort Scott Park. David Fleming replied for Mastergeeha.
12’s Division 2 South
Mastergeeha took the points in Kilbrean Park as they defeated Killarney Celtic B. The home sides goals came from Killian Moynihan 4, Dara O’Sullivan, Nathan Fleming and Morrie O’Shea.
Macron Sports 13’s Division 1:
Goals from Simon Sirotiak and Ben O’Sullivan who scored 2 each and one each from Majiid and Tristan Murphy saw Killarney Celtic B win at home to Mastergeeha. Noah Clifford, Oran Lynch and Samuel Moore replied for the Kilbrean Park side.
Dingle Bay Rovers and St Brendan’s Park B shared 6 goals and the points in a 3-3 draw. Finn O’Dowd 2 and Mattie O’Sullivan got the Dingle Bay goals with Albi Ghaxa, Patrick Leen and Aaron Donovan replying for the visitors.
A Conor Kylie hat-trick and one each from Cole Shannon and Jeff Power saw Camp Juniors win at home to Killarney Athletic B.
13’s Division 2
Callum O’Leary and Senal Murphy got the goals for Mastergeeha C in their home win over Castleisland B.
Ethan Hayes and Padraig Curtin scored two each and Aaron Horan and Krystan Janisz one each as Castleisland C won away at Tralee Dynamos B.
Inter Kenmare B had goals from Aidan Lehane 2, Michael Sheehan, Ryan Breen, Rian O’Connor, Oisin O’Sullivan and Kevin Harrington as they won at home to Ballyhar Dynamos B. The Ballyhar Dynamos scorers were Danielle Brosnan, Adam Fleming and Patrick O’Connor.
World of Tiles 14’s Premier
The first game of the week say Mastergeeha defeat Castleisland thanks to goals from Roan Guerin who got 2, Fabian Lorowska and Conn Deally. Tadgh McCarthy replied for the away side.
Power Travel 15’s Premier
Goals from Cody McMahon 2, Jason Brosnan and Jack Foley gave Castleisland an away win at Killorglin.
15’s Division 1
Mastergeeha were at home in Kilbrean Park as they defeated Fenit Samphires.
The goals came from Ronan O’Connor 2, Ben Carmody, Jack Buckley, Milosz Niezgoda, Patrick O’Riordan and Ruairi O’Donoghue.
15’s Division 2
Two goals from Tadgh O’Connell and one each from Fionn Byrne gave Ferry Rangers the win at home to Castleisland B.
There was a goal fest at Celtic Park when Killarney Celtic B and Ballyheigue drew 5-5. Pa Coffey got 3 and Pa O’Brien 2 for the home side with Joe Lovett hit 3 along with one each from Ignacio Palomet and Odhran Leane saw the points shared.
Tow each from Jayden Fennell and Kevin Coffey and one each from Corey Campion and Jack Spillane saw MEK Galaxy B win at home to Tralee Dynamos B.
Iveragh United were the winners at home to Killarney Athletic B with goals from Jayden Corcoran, Ramon Khan, Ryan Courtney, Ben Glavin, Gavin Griffin and Mathew O’Sullivan.
16’s Division 2
Tralee Dynamos B had goals from Francis O’Brien and Oisin Ty O’Connell who both got 2 each, Dan Moloney and an own goal in their home win over Killarney Athletic B. David Walsh got 2 and Mathew Pfister got the goals for the Killarney side.
12’s Girls Premier
Goals from Lillian Slattery 2, Aoife Kelliher and Esme O’Sullivan gave Killarney Athletic the win in Woodlawn over cross-town neighbours Killarney Celtic.
Ava Harty 3, Megan Quigg, Elise Brunner, Emily Allen, Aiobh Nic Gearailt and Isabelle O’Connor scored for MEK in their home win over Listowel Celtic.
12’s Girls Division 1
St Brendan’s Park had a hat-trick from Eabha Maguire and goals from Alannah Crossen, Laura Heaphy and Amelie O’Sullivan in their win away at Killorglin – who were making their debut in the League which is wonderful to see.
Goals from Amy Rose Shanahan, Doireann Lynch, Zoe Gleeson and Ella O’Leary saw Iveragh United take the win away at Dingle Bay Rovers whose goals came from Orla Ni Chuinn and Roison Ui Hogain who got two each.
The points were shared in the MEK Galaxy versus Camp Juniors game with Jane Byrne on the mark for the home side and Jemma Skinner Syme replying for Camp Juniors.
The points were shared between Listowel Celtic and Fenit Samphires. Sarah Slattery scored for the home side with Ava Flahery replying for Fenit Samphires.
Goals from Malwina Jankowaska, Taylor Kate Leane, Eabha Maguire, Laura Heaphy and Nessa Kirby gave St Brendan’s Park a home win over Killarney Athletic. Roksana Wawro got the Athletic goal.
Camp Juniors and St Brendan’s Park shared the points with Leah Courtney and Caoimhe Skinner getting the goal for the home side and Leah Griffin and Amie Kelly replying for the Tralee girls.
Goals from Sadbh O’Halloran and Ameilia Carroll Kelly gave Killarney Celtic a 2-0 win over Killarney Athletic while Camp Juniors and St Brendan’s Park drew 2-2.
Izzy McGrath 3, Sinead O’Sullivan, Yvonne O’Connell and Sarah O’Sullivan were on the score-sheet for MEK Galaxy in their win at home to Fenit Samphires.
Inter Kenmare and St Brendan’s Park drew 0-0 while goals from Clodagh Moriarty 2, Abby Cronin, Eve Culhane and Meave Courtney saw Killarney Celtic defeat LB Rovers.
