JK Sports 12 Premier:
Kingdom Boys continue to lead the way here and remain unbeaten after a 4-2 win away at Listowel Celtic. Leo Gaxha scored twice for the Tralee side with Terrance Carmody and Sean Kennedy getting one each. Tadgh Carroll and Sean McGrath got the goals for Listowel Celtic.
St Brendan’s Park have moved into joint second place following their 3-0 win at home to Killarney Athletic. Con O’Sullivan, Colin Walsh and Neil Tobin were the scorers.
12 Division 1:
Ballyhar notched up their super 7th win from their 7 League games as they defeated Mastergeeha 6-2 at Murt Scott Park. Gearoid Coffey hit two while Jason Brennan, Adam Jensen, Patrick O’Connor and Dylan O’Callaghan all got one each.
They now lead Castleisland and Killarney Celtic B by 6 points after the latter moved onto 15 points following a 4-2 win away to Listowel Celtic. Christian Greziak took the match ball with a hat trick. The 4th was scored by Paul O’Sullivan.
Foundation Sports 14 Premier:
Goals from Sean Keane, Cillian Spillane, Jack Shanahan and Jake Kelly put Listowel Celtic A 4-0 up and cruising in their clash Park A as both sides looked to close on leaders Kingdom Boys who weren’t playing. Whatever the Park management said at half time had the desired effect and they got one back through Michael Slattery. Robin McCarthy halved the deficit after a cross from Adam Ward. The comeback continued when Sean Carmody scored from a header from a corner. The same player levelled matters in the exact same manner to complete the fight back and indeed The Park had a shout for a penalty turned down with the score at 4 all.
Kingdom Boys claimed the first points in the League in 2014 when they beat Castleisland in a game played on January 2nd. Dillon Robinson hit 3 and Dara Lowth and Codi Dauti on each to move the Tralee side onto 13 points with the Park on 9 and Listowel Celtic on 7.
14 Division 1:
Joint leaders Killarney Celtic B were pushed all the way by Mastergeeha. An Alan Murphy goal for Celtic inside the last ten minutes settled the game for the Hoops who now lead the way on their own after Camp’s game was postponed. Mastergeeha were unlucky and when one sees that Killarney Celtic keeper Trevor O’Sullivan was man of the match it shows how close the Kilbrean side came to taking something from the game.
Tralee Trophy World 16 Premier:
Killarney Celtic and The Park both went into this game unbeaten with Celtic having a game more played. The game turned out to be a cracker with both sides sharing 6 goals. Conor McCarthy, Michael Potts and Dean Fitzgerald scored for Celtic while goals from Fergal Ryan, Karl Mullins and Jesse Stafford Lacey earned a point for their side.
16 Division 1:
Leaders The Park B were too strong for Killarney Athletic B winning 7-1. John and Donagh O’Brien scored 2 each with Eamon Slattery, Sean Tansley and Cian Liston hitting one each. Athletic started the brighter and went 1-0 up through Mike Cronin.
While the Park have moved onto 19 points to lead the way Mastergeeha remain favourites to take the title as they are now on 18 points from their 6 games. A hat trick from Paul O’Connor and one each from Sean Tangney, Patrick Warren and James Nagle gave the Kilbrean side all thre points as they defeated Killarney Celtic B.
