3 out of 4 semi- final spots booked in John Murphy 12’s Cup:

With the Cup and Shield semi-final draws set to take place this weekend many teams were in their Last Dance Saloon. In the Tom Hayes 12’s Cup Camp Juniors had a 1-0 win at home to Mastergeeha. Maurice O’Connell got the only goal from a Cian Wright run and cross. Killarney Celtic were too strong for Dingle Bay, despite missing a few players. Cian Doe and Sean Fitzgerald both scored 2 each. Cian O’Sullivan, Ronan Coffey, Daniel Okwute and Jason Lee scored one a piece.

Inter Kenmare had goals from Mark Torpey 2, Corey Murphy and Tadgh O’Donoghue as they booked their place in the Last 4. Listowel Celtic or the Park will join them after their quarter final.

Killarney Celtic C and Park B into 12’s Shield last 4:

Killarney Celtic C defeated Asdee thanks to a Simon Coffey hat-trick and 2 from Josh Livingston. The Park B joined them with a 4-0 victory over Killarney Celtic B at Christy Leahy Park. Killorglin C were 2-0 winners at home to Park C to take the third semi-final spot. Mastergeeha B and Camp Juniors will do battle for the last spot.

12 Girls Cup semi-final:

Listowel Celtic booked their place in the 12 Girls final thanks to a 6-1 win over Inter Kenmare, who now go into the Shield Final. Aoife Horgan hit 5 with Katie Keane getting the other goal. Listowel Celtic now play Killarney Celtic in the Cup final with Killarney Athletic joining Inter in the Shield decider.

Tom Hayes 14’s Cup semi-finalists:

The Park A defeated Killarney Celtic A 3-0 to move into the last 4 of the Tom Hayes Cup. Killorglin A got the better of Ballyhar at Murt Scott Park thanks to goals from Jack O’Connor, Eoin Clifford and Darren O’Shea. Tralee Dynamos A also won on the road as they got past Mastergeeha in Kilbrean Park. Leo Gaxha got 2 and Sean Kennedy the other in a 3-1 win with Philip O’Leary getting the consolation for the home side. The line-up will be completed when Camp Juniors and Park B meet.

14’s Shield Line-Up Sorted:

The 4 semi-finalists of the 14’s Shield are now known. Listowel Celtic C continued their great form with two wins in the week. On Thursday they had goals from Nathan McGrath, Tadgh O’Connell, JP O’Carroll, Conor Hogan, Michael Nolan, Ted Moloney and Andrew Murphy as they knocked out Fenit. In Saturday’s quarter final they defeated Asdee. Michael Nolan got 2 with Conor Hogan and Nathan McGrath also scoring.

Inter Kenmare were 6-3 winners in the qualifiers in mid-week. Colin Crowley got 3, Boki Nikic got 2 and Jason O’Shea the other. On Saturday it was goals from Mark Looney 2 and Colin Crowley that saw then get past Ballygheigue for whom Thomas Gaynor scored.

St Bernards were 3-1 home winners over Killarney Celtic B. Mikey Clifford, Aaron Malik and Ruairi Donovan got the Saints goals. Tony Maguire replied for Celtic.

Killarney Celtic C’s Jason Kerins goal from the penalty spot was enough to see the Hoops knock out Iveragh United.

Girls 14’s semi-final:

A Ciara O’Mahoney hat trick, 2 from Ciara Tangney and one from Ellen Coffey put Killarney Athletic into the final of the 14 Girls Cup. Defeated side Mastergeeha have the consolation of a Shield Final.

Celtic through in 15’s Cup ¼ Final:

Killarney Celtic needed extra time to get past Tralee Dynamos in their 15’s Cup quarter final. Ian McGillicuddy scored for Celtic in normal time with Michael Devlin getting the winner.

Tucker Kelly 16’s Cup:

As probably expected the A’s defeated the B’s in the all Killarney Celtic clash. Luke O’Donoghue, Michael Potts, Cian Casey and Ian McGillicuddy got the goals for the A’s. Camp Juniors are through on a 3-0 score-line from their game against Tralee Dynamos B. Mastergeeha versus Killorglin and Tralee Dynamos A against Listowel Celtic A are the other quarter finals.

16’s Shield:

Goals from Eoghan McDaid, Jack Landers and Pierce McGill saw Iveragh become the first team into the Shield semi-finals. Ballyhar joined them as they got past Inter Kenmare by the odd goal in 5. Kenneth O’Sullivan, Cian Callaghan and super sub Dillon Callaghan, who got the winner after coming on, were the Ballyhar goal getters. Michael McCarthy replied with 2 for Inter.

Park A were 3-0 winners over Listowel Celtic C while the last place in the semis needed extra time to decide it. Fenit and Killarney Athletic were tied at 2 all thanks to goals from Jack Lynch 2 and Blake Bolster 2. It was Fenit that got the winner through Chris Murphy to take them into the last 4.

It’s one of the rarer scores in underage football but in the Daly’s Supervalu 13 Division 2 it finished scoreless between St Bernard’s and Camp Juniors.

Two wins for Asdee in 14 Division 2:

It was a good week for Asdee as they won both their games in the Foundation Sports 14 Division 2. In their first game they were 5-3 winners at home to Listowel Celtic B. Ber O’Callaghan got 1 and Conor Twomey and Barry O’Neill two each for the winners with Cian McCarthy and Dan Lynch on the mark for Listowel Celtic B.

Later in the week Asdee were 3-2 winners away to Park B. Here it was Gavin Casey with 2 and Barry O’Neill who scored. Tony Duggan and Samson Ayvaibi were the Park scorers.

All Action in 15 Division 1:

Killarney Athletic defeated Killarney Celtic B 2-1 thanks to goals from Fionbarr Hickey and Jason Coffey. Liam McCarthy replied for Celtic B.

Castleisland were 5-0 winners over Killorglin. Ben Cooney got 2 while Shay Walsh, Josh Horan and Lorcan Herlihy were the Castleisland goal scorers.

Killorglin also went down to Park B later in the week. Mark and Gary O’Connor scored for Killorglin. For Park B Aaron Ward got 3 with Dylan O’Shea and Conor Higgins scoring one each.

Park win in 16’s:

The Park A defeated Inter Kenmare in the Tralee Trophy World 16 Division 1. Gearoid Fitzgerald, Cillian Killeen, Dylan O’Sullivan, Cian Holden, Simon Kedzerski and Thomas Burke all scored one each.
