Reports: National Cup Evens Round 3:

Starting out in the National Cup the first aim is to get into Round 4 from where the winners will go into the Nation-wide draw featuring the Last 32 left in the competition.

In the Evens age groups 5 Kerry sides have made it into Round 4 with Killarney Athletic still in with a chance of joining them as there game with Burren United will go ahead on Saturday 19th

This weekend in the 12’s Killarney Celtic thanks to goals from Gearoid Looney 2, Jack Hanrahan, Michael Devlin and sub Jordan Leahy defeated Newcastlewest 5-0. Joining them in the next round are Kingdom Boys who when one better scoring 6 in their 6-1 away to Janesboro. Dillon Robinson hit a hat trick with Mikey Kelliher, Dylan Casey and Kevin Williams getting the goals.

There was no luck for Killarney Athletic who went down to Herbertstown.

At 14’s Killarney Athletic had a very good win on the road winning 3-2 at Shannon Hibs. Michael Potts, Mark O’Shea and David Shaw all scored. Listowel Celtic hit three with reply as they also progressed thanks to two goals from Cathal Kennelly 2 and Darragh Buckley.

Herbertstown and The Park shared six goals in normal time but the home side added another 3 in extra time to knock out the Tralee boys.

At 16’s it was the all Kerry clash with Killarney Celtic visiting The Park in Tralee. It was the home side that got the better start and were 3-2 following goals from Jessie O’Sullivan 2 and George Carneige but Celtic took over in the second half. Their goals came from John Fintan Daly 2, Shane Cronin, Liam Carey and Mathew Keane.

JK Sports 12’s:

In the JK Sports 12’s Premier The Park moved into second place, and only one behind Killarney Celtic, following a 4-1 win away to Mastergeeha. Michael Slattery hit 3 and Ruairi O’Kelly got the other.

In Division 1 leaders Killarney Celtic B are proving unbeatable and won their fifth League game in a row with a 2-0 win against Camp. Jason Cahillane and Eamon Murphy got the goals.

Second placed Inter Kenmare kept on Celtic’s tails as they moved onto 10 points as they defeated Kingdom Boys B 6-0. Tom Murnane, Ben Bradley, Dan Casey, Jack May, Brian Twomey and Tadgh O’Siochru all scored.

Killorglin are next on 9 points after getting the better of Fenit 6-2. Liam Croke, Eoin O’Sullivan, Ian McGillicuddy, Tiernan O’Sullivan, Daragh Cleary and Conor Sugrue all hit the net.

Killarney Celtic C will be delighted with their 4-2 over St Bernard’s for whom Keith O’Connor scored.

Daly’s Supervalu Division 1:

There were two games in this Division played in mid week. Castleisland were 5-3 winners over Camp and Killorglin A defeated Iveragh 5-0.

O’Callaghan’s Coaches 14’s:

In the Premier division Killarney Celtic A join Kingdom Boys at the top of the table thanks to a 4-0 win over Fenit. Mark Harnett, Conor McCarthy, Dion Marcus and Gary Mathews were the Hoops goal getters.

The two top sides in Division 1 North met in what was expected to be a tight encounter. However Ballyhar were too strong for Asdee in Murt Scott Park winning 7-0. John McMahon and Cian Brosnan got two each with the others coming from Kian O’Callaghan, Oisin Fleming and Donal O’Sullivan.

Camp will be happy to have put points on the board thanks to their 4-2 win over Park B. Wally Yusif and David McCarthy scored for The Park but Nathan Quirke hit 2 and Jason Griffin and Michael Scanlan got the 4 goals to give Camp the points.

In the Southern Section leaders Inter Kenmare had a bad day at the office going down 3-1 to Killorglin A who were playing their first game. Daniel Taylor scored for Inter but Padraig O’Brien, Mike Breen and Joe Glinwood all hit the net for the winners.

Killarney Plaza 15’s Division 1:

On Wednesday Killorglin and Killarney Athletic B will both be happy to have their first point each on the board.

On Saturday it was the all Kingdom Boys clash of the A’s and B’s. The A’s won 6-2 thanks to goals from Ritchie Hurley 3, Cian Liston 2 and Aaron O’Keeffe with Dillon O’Brien and Sean Looney replying for the B’s.

16 Premier:

Joint leaders Fenit went down by the odd goal in seven at home to Killorglin, who hadn’t made a great start to the season. Tommy Cahill and a Daniel McBeth hat trick gave Killorglin the three points with Brian Hill, Denis Cosgrave and Gary Hannafin replying for Fenit.

Killarney Athletic had a good win over Asdee in Woodlawn. Danny Healy, Adam O’Shea and Michael Casey were the Killarney side’s scorers.

In Division 1 joint leaders Ballyhar went down 3-0 to Mastergeeha who had Darren O’Connor, Cornelius Buckley and Chris White on the score-sheet. Castlemaine took full advantage and moved three points clear at the top of the table after they beat Listowel Celtic 7-2. Cathal O’Connor and Kieran Griffin hit two each with the other goals coming from Gavin Evans, Gavin Horan and Jonathan O’Sullivan.

Ballyheigue continued their impressive debut season with a 4-2 win over Park B to stay in second place but only a point behind the leaders. Fionn Kavanagh hit 3 and Michael Lynch got the other.

Inter Kenmare and Iveragh both needed the points and shared seven goals with the home side coming out on top 4-3. Killian Spillane got 2 with Alan Reeve and Fintan Kennedy the others for Inter while Sam Dwyer 2 and Anthony Cournane on the mark for Iveragh.
