Kerry take 8th spot in the 2012 Kennedy Cup after a successful tournament that saw them topping Group 7.
However their exertions against the DDSL told as the squad tired a little on their last day.
A 2-0 defeat to Waterford and a 2-1 ((Dean Fitzgerald) loss to Limerick District means Kerry finish 8th – a very good number to have in our seeding column for the next three years.
Well done to all the squad, management and back room staff – ye did the League and Kerry proud.

Before this Kerry had secured top spot in Group 7 with wins over South Tipperary (2-0), Athlone (2-1) and Galway (3-0).

They took on the DDSL in the Quarter finals and performed very well without getting the rewards before going down 3-0.

This took alot out of the squad and in the Plate semi final Kerry lost 2-0 to Waterford. While the winners got the break through Kerry were very unlucky not to equalise and Waterford’s second goal was scored in the last minute of added time as Kerry were pushing for an equaliser.
